Occupy Campers Get a Dose of Reality

Just a few hours ago the New York Police Department began evicting the squatters from Zuccotti Park. The entire "raid" as they are calling it was filmed and started streaming live the minute it began by the Occupiers.

First I would like to say this is why I love the Internet. Watching these spoiled trustafarians show their asses, Live without censor, was more fun to watch than the last Adam Sandler movie. No hyperbole. Listening to the screeching, chanting....and what may or may not have been some time of ancient war cry (something to the affect of....WaWaWaWaWaWa) proved beyond a shadow of a doubt what I've been saying all along. They have No idea why they are there...

To be more specific...the hilarity ensued early in the events...starting with the Squatters complaining about how the Police were just coming in and taking their stuff....You read that right. Socialists complaining about sharing their wealth or in this case donated items. That's Good Stuff.

Then a little later a young woman named Ashley, expressed her outrage that someone, I think banks, were ruining the environment. She did not seemed concerned that the real reason that the Occupiers were being moved was because of health, sanitation and environmental reasons. No in fact Ashley went on to say that, again I think it was, banks turned something into a third world country. All the while standing in front of piles of garbage and filth. Clearly Irony wasn't ever on any of Ashley's vocabulary quizzes.

I don't mean to pick on Ashley...well maybe a little...as she was just one of many "Useful Idiots" who stepped in front of the camera tonight...Chanting..."The Whole World is Watching"...as many people have pointed out; That may be true but at least 75% are laughing at you.

From the beginning I've been unimpressed with the Occupy Movement. One because I am a Capitalist. And Two see Number One. It's really just that simple.

These kids are unemployed and have nothing to do because of Obama's horrible policies, so now they're camping out in our downtown areas. Parents...I pray your kid isn't one of them. Because I look at this group and it become so clear. These are the kids that never were told No. They were always the best....no wonder they think We should give them our money, but they are Livid the cops took threw out their free condoms.

I wonder how they the "Occupiers" thought this would end. I mean really. They've been camping out in New York for almost two months. What is their point again? Don't ask them. They Can't Tell You. They Don't Know.

As I said on Twitter earlier tonight...Can't someone just give these kids a trophy so they can go home?

Debates Are For High School Kids

Here's the deal folks...I don't care who is the best at debating the other candidates. Hell I don't even care who is going to be better than Barack Obama. If you or anyone else is basing their vote on these dog and pony shows that serve only to create fodder for the political junkies and the media...Go back to High School. That's the last time a debate should have been your deciding factor for casting a Vote.

I am not selecting a candidate based on his ability to "Charm" the masses, the Democrats did that in 2008 and look where that got us.

We have One Chance to win back the White House next year. Let's Not Waste it by falling for all the media hype....

There is much more that I want out of My presidential candidate than a media friendly delivery. I'd like to know what they have done and what they plan to do to fix this mess.

Take Rick Perry for example. While the media and some pundits would have you believe that Rick Perry should just drop out. I disagree. The man has proven leadership. I like what he's done in Texas, and clearly so do the Voters. Three terms are Not a given for any Governor. He has grown their economy which is more than I can say for any of the other candidates. Have you read his tax plan? I have and You should too. No it's not quite as catchy as 9-9-9 but it also doesn't include a national sales tax and give tax payers options, something No one else has legitimately put forward. You want a man of faith, he lives it not just during the election cycle. Concerned about his position on Gay Marriage? Why? He firmly stands behind states rights and has gone On the record supporting the voters right to decide what is best for their state.

So Why all the Hate? Because he finds the debates as tedious and pointless as We do? So What? Mitt Romney is an excellent Debater. Is that Who you want for the Republican nominee? I thought not. Liberals vote on style. We vote on Substance.

Obligatory Debt Ceiling post...My Version.

Thought this sad, but true cartoon summed up the whole issue.

Blah. Blah. Blah. Nobody wins, Everyone claims victory and the Media controls the narrative....Let's be honest here. Half the people talking about the debt ceiling or the 'debt crisis' as the White house spokespeople formerly known as "News Outlets", have No idea what any of it really is or means or doesn't mean...But it sounds scary. ..bringing to mind a saying with which you might be familiar: something, something.."..Sound and Fury, signifying nothing..."

Look I understand about 75% off all this and I think it's fair to say, I'm way more informed than your average bear.

For me watching the fall out sounds more interesting...Winners, Losers will be discussed... This is where it will get fun. Who will blame who? Who will suggest the other side was Terrorists? Oh wait Joe Biden already did that. See what I mean? That's Comedy Gold, if only for those paying attention.

It's only going to get better as Nancy Pelosi along with her pet flying monkey, Harry Reid cornered like rodents that they are begin biting at each other and all their cronies...

The only thing to be learned from this DC debacle or as Michelle Malkin always calls it "Kabuki Theater" over the debt ceiling is that the Republicans, Conservatives, Libertarians and any and all real "Independents" out there need to stick together in order to hold their feet to the fire.

There is no Victory if we are divided...another famous saying comes to mind "United We Stand"..where have I heard that one before...Now I don't care if you are white, black, brown, or any combination of the previous, I don't care if you are straight, gay or unsure, it matters not to me if you haven't been to Church since you last went with your Grandmother. If you are sick of the ridiculous spending and behavior in Washington, I'm with you. Got it?

And I don't think I'm alone in this either. Even thought the media would have you believe otherwise, file that under the squeaky wheel and of course Ratings. I truly believe there are more things we agree on than disagree on and it's time to focus on that.

And when it comes time to Vote in 2012. My vote will go to whomever happens to run against President Obama. Yours Should Too.

Obama Strikes Again

I want to start out by thanking the many of you who asked and encouraged me to start writing again. It inspired me to do just that. But I've got to tell you how I got here in the first place, before I can move on to the topics you've asked for me to address. (Again, shocked and humbled by your words)

So here we go...

I have always secretly been a "writer" and I mean a "writer" not a blogger, I have been writing poetry, short stories and have started more novels than I care to mention. And I've been doing it since I was about 8. But until I started this blog, only about three people had ever read anything I'd ever written. Both of them were complimentary but they're related to me so they don't really count. Anyway, Fast forward to 2007. The then Democrat controlled Congress was spending money like they had the #1 Rap Album in the Country, (just to clarify they did not), but they were making it rain in Washington, With Our Money. It really pissed me off.

I work really hard for the money I earn, and at that point in my life, my entire career was 100% commission based and on at will contracts. So I knew that I had to do my job and do it well, if I was going to make enough money to support myself and my family. When the Government just takes half and does whatever they please with it. Most of which I don't even agree with! This is what got me so riled up that it had started to bubble over at parties. When a dear friend pulled me aside and suggested I start a blog. In fact he even gave me the web address for Blogspot. The very next day I set up an account. I blogged, a few people responded to my first published work! It was super cool.

Anyway...So flashforward about a year. I am blogging daily about the upcoming election doing hours of research at night after working all day, sleeping very little....I warned people. I did the research. I knew How bad an Obama presidency was going to be for the Country. And damn if half the people in this country voted for him anyway.

It was deflating. Mostly because I had done all the research including a significant amount on the economy, specifically Jobs, those are what people used to have back in 2008. In the early months of 2008, our unemployment rate was hovering nationally around 6% Go back to 2005, when the Republicans controlled the White House, and both houses of senate....the number drops to around 3.5%.

What is interesting is that President Obama was Senator Obama between 2005 and his "Historic" election and was part of the spending like drunken sailor congress. The media had all the independents believing Change was an actual platform. It was sickening. I digress..

So one of the blogs I wrote was called "Vote for Obama; Vote Yourself out of a Job". Sucks to be right. What also sucks is when you didn't vote for him and get canned anyway due to "downsizing" on the day that Obama was sworn in Jan 20, 2009, the company I worked for slashed 30% of their job force and did so on a day where even a giant corporation's cuts wouldn't even appear as a blip on the news. Genius. Except I was one of those "let go". I came home that day and wrote a blog, "Obama's first day at work, My last one" it was poetic as it was ironic, I know. I was fortunate the company provided me a generous severance package that allowed me time to write, Or so I thought.

See right about that time the Tea Party movement was born, and I participated online for the first Twitter Tea Party on Jan 28th, 2009. The was the spark, for the next six months I poured my effort and my heart to creating and establishing along with 6 other individuals the Richmond Tea Party. We held a tax day rally, and held an event to educate voters on issues. We were rolling. Then I was told I was no longer a member of the RTP, a week prior to event that I had spent no less than 2000 man hours planning, organizing and marketing (with No marketing budget) in the interest of the movement I stayed on to make sure the event went off without a hitch, and it did if I do say so myself. I quietly left the RTP. I worked on another project for a while to promote contacts, information about new groups as well as previously established groups to connect with each other as well as interested possible new members. I was doing something not just 'writing about it'.....(translation: I didn't write much) but then a funny thing happened. My severance ran out.

Back to work I went this time choosing an industry that 1. I thought even Obama couldn't hurt 2. It would give me more time to write. 3. Any industry was better than the one I was in. I was wrong on all counts, maybe not that last one...

Any hoo- I've spent the last two years of my life working 80 hour weeks, nights, weekends, travel what ever was required because I genuinely loved my work. I've been extremely successful by anyone's standards, and on Friday I found out that "they are eliminating my position", now I know there is probably more to it than that, there always is...but I can tell you this. It is directly related to New Regulations introduced and passed by the Obama Administration.

So here I sit on my couch, writing, when I was supposed to be flying to a national meeting. Feeling a failure, frustrated, crying. In my 14 year career I have been "let go" twice. Jan 20, 2009 and Friday. How could this be happening? Again? I keep running the conversation, or "chat" as it was referred to in The E-mail, over and over again. I want to make sense of it and I can't. No Warning. No Severance. No Reason. Then it came to me.

Like a vision...It's Obama's fault. Some may say you can't blame Obama for everything...and that might be true, as I don't think he had anything to do with "Sex and the City 2". But I can damn sure blame him for this one and I'm going to so there. ;-)

If I can figure out a way to get paid to do a writing gig, I will or if I make some money off my clever sayings at cafe press. (Hint, Hint) If not I'll go back to a more traditional position.....Until then I'm going to blog in between searching for a new job and getting some down time...So I'm back, Blame Obama.

GOProud or Go Home!!

Awhile back I wrote a blog, and when I say a while I mean almost two years ago...about my thoughts on Gay Marriage. It garnished a little more hate mail than usual. But in it I made clear that I personally felt that the Gay Community would have more success at achieving their agenda by coming over to the Republican party, specifically the Conservative sector.

At first blush, most uniformed people thought I was Nuts. Because according to the "lame stream media" as Rush calls it, all those who don't vote Democrat or as they are now known Socialist party, must be a homophobic, racist, bigot...by the way what exactly is a Bigot? According to what I've always believed Bigotry was about religion. But listening to Liberals and their cohorts in the Media you would think Bigotry covered hatred of everything from taxes to picking out a china pattern. I digress...

The problem is some people still buy into these myths...Thankfully there are new groups coming out (pun intended) as Gay Conservatives.

As the following video shows...Liberals still don't get it. Chenk Uygur, yep that's his name, a fill-in host on MSNBC, perpetuates the stereotypes not only of Conservatives but Gays as well during this "interview" and I use that term loosely with GOProud , a growing Conservative Gay Organization, Chairman Christopher Barron. What is interesting is they set up the segment with Obama's speech about repealing "Don't Ask Don't Tell", then get into GOProud's invitation to CPAC this year. But Uygur as you'll see has his own agenda for the conversation, unfortunately for him...Uygur was no match for Barron. There are some real gems in this one, but if I had to pick a favorite...

Barron: We've (GOProud) Participated in CPAC for the last 2 years

Uygur: Oh. (Smugly laughing) the last 2 years, what about all the other years...

Barron: We've only been around 2 years.

Uygur: uh. um.

Oh and keep in mind this is the same Tolerant Liberal 'Host' that pondered why Tucker Carlson didn't want Sarah Palin executed....

First I must tell you...I now have a Mad crush on Christopher Barron. He proves what Ann Coulter often says "Our Gays are way more macho than their Straights". Second Barron lays it out for Uygur by explaining to him that there are issues besides Marriage and "Don't Ask Don't Tell" for he and others in the Gay Community. Just as Conservative women have said many times that we are more than Our reproductive system....seems the Gays feel the same way.

At one point in the segment Uygur uses a classic liberal argument technique: "No you're Not" to which I expected him to follow up with "I know you are but what am I?"

Mr. Barron handles himself beautifully as he uses one of My favorite debate techniques: I reject your premise. More people on the Right really need to use this one more often. Liberal hosts have a tendency to phrase questions in such a manner that if you answer them at all...You lose.

What is most tragic in this story is that they buried the headline: GOProud was invited to CPAC and will be attending for the second consecutive year. The flashing graphics say "Conservative groups boycott CPAC", but in reality only two have declined their invitation to attend. The Family Research Council and some Women's group. Two groups out of Seventy who were invited, that's it. One known for being sticklers in the Social Conservative movement and one that I've never even heard of before. So I will consider this a HUGE win and so should everyone else.

There are differing opinions on whether it was a good move by the again TWO groups. Some like Jennifer Rubin think that it is a litmus test of political strategy as she wrote in an editorial for the Washington Post. Ed Morrissey at HotAir.Com tries to explain CPAC as it really is, a place for Conservatives of all kinds to come together and share ideas.

As much as the media like to paint the conservative movement as a monolithic, lock-step aggregation, CPAC itself annually demonstrates the variety and tension between various interests on the Right. The conference includes social conservatives, Ron Paul groupies, isolationists, interventionists (the dreaded neo-cons), libertarians, religious organizations (including Muslims), atheists, several flavors of fiscal conservatism, and even the John Birch Society. The point of CPAC isn’t to all come together to agree as much as it is for these organizations to make their pitch to the thousands of activists who attend the conference — in other words, to engage, debate, and either convince or fail to do so. Half the groups at CPAC probably wouldn’t endorse the other half, with or without GOProud.

I assure you Mr. Uygur wouldn't understand half of the words in Ed Morrissey's post, but perhaps he should read it anyway. See with all His babbling about "Gay Rights", Mr. Uygur doesn't understand that Gays also have the Right to be Conservative.

When Christopher Barron states that he has more trouble coming out as a Conservative to his Gay friends than he does coming out as gay to his conservative friends, I believe him. I have friends that have the same problem. But when Chenk says "but, They don't like you!" that is pure magic caught on film. A perfect example of 'tolerance" from the liberal community gay or otherwise.

I can only hope that Christopher Barron and other like him will be an example for other gay conservatives still in the closet to come out and GOProud!

Are we becoming a Nation of Wusses?

Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell is getting run into the ground for his comment about a "Nation of Wusses", referring to the postponement of his beloved Eagles game. Here is something you won't hear me say very often, so you might want to write this down: I agree with Ed Rendell.

* Editors note: Love the "No crying in Baseball" line...

Now I don't want to get into an argument about whether or not the Eagles game was postponed due to concerns for the "fans" safety...I understand what the NFL was thinking, I just disagree with them.

But what this is really about is a much larger problem than whether or not Eagles fans have the cojones to deal with a foot of snow...the question is Can we as Americans 'deal" with Anything?

This first came up a while back in a discussion with my sister, and other half of my brain. She brought up the recent rash of suicides that were appearing in clusters at the time. While obviously the Suicides were tragic, she was concerned that the 'trend' was just starting as we were dealing with an entire generation of Americans that have Zero coping skills.

This is what happens when everyone always wins a trophy and No one is a loser. You end up with adults that never learned to over come adversity. Schools are operating the 'Stop the Bullying" campaigns all over the country. But does anyone ever remember those being necessary when we were in school? No. Because either you stood up to them or you got your ass kicked and they moved on to their next prey and a job at the gas station. While you went on to write the great American Novel about over coming adversity. See What I mean? That might not exactly be the story, but you get the gist....

This generation won't have the great Americans who have inspired us, instead of reading about the great Condi Rice who went from a black girl from Alabama to Secretary of State. Who will lead this generation of black leaders that Actually have the people in Mind...and No Spike Lee, you don't count. Where is Dr. King where is Malcolm X. Two men who saw the world differently but wanted the same equality. And near the end X sounded a lot more like Dr. King than the poor excuse for a human Louis Fharakan. Who will show the heroics of John McCain and George H. W. Bush? They won't understand how Bill Gates and Steve Jobs started in a dorm room and a garage respectively.

Because they'll be too busy whinning to their shrinks about how 'difficult' their High School years were and how having a Job is 'really, really hard'. I don't know about you but I can't imagine Bill Gates was Mr. Popularity in High School....and seemed to turn out Okay.

Learning to over come or at the very least deal with adversity as a child is key into developing into a healthy well adjusted adult. Why? Because bad Things happen to everyone, all the time. And it helps if you have some clue how to handle it.

Now I don't mean to say that I condone 'bullying' or more to the point beatings, stabbings and the like...in fact just for clarification consider this my official condemnation: "No one Should Beat, Stab, or Kill Anyone simply because they don't like them for one reason or another". (This rule applies to so called-adults as well.)

But Kids do need to learn that in games as in life there are Winners and Losers. And that some people are talented in one area, but struggle in another. It's the way of the world and it's worked until the last 20-30 years when we decided that children could be damaged for life if we criticised them or encouraged them to strive for excellence. Ask any Division One athlete who pushed them the most? Number One Answer on the Board: Dad, Mom, Family or any combination of the three. Did some of these athletes struggle academically, probably....but they Over came that to be successful in something in which they did excel.

Now I must move onto those in the gay community. Please refer to my earlier condemnation and allow me to add this: Gay children need to have a safe place to go, whether that be to a parent, friend or guidance counselor if they are experiencing any bullying over their Sexual preference. Having said that, these resources should help the child to develop defense mechanisms that work for the child and Not against them. Is that really that hard? Because while Homosexuality has become significantly more mainstream than ever, it is a life style that at some point will draw ridicule from some Ignorant Homophobic Jackass. So Why not prepare them for that?

You're looking at a generation that in it's life time has been through multiple wars and conflicts, which resulted in Zero Rationing of anything from Sugar to Gasoline. Something no other generation could say before...and yet they whine when they beat their $60 video game in their $350 console,on their $3500 television set in less than two weeks.

We've got kids who have no desire to get a driver's license, I can remember counting the days until I could get my permit, so on the day I turned 16 I could get my license. But you know what I failed my permit the first time, why because I didn't think I Really needed to read the book. But after a good long lecture from my Dad, and an awesome Sub. I went home read the book, studied it and passed with flying colors on my next attempt. When it came time to take the drivers portion I was ready. I had prepared, because I had failed before and I didn't like that feeling, nor did I wish to repeat it. And I didn't. Passed the drivers exam on the first go round. I was so excited I forgot to take the keys out of the ignition...a fact the kind officer overlooked.

So getting your permit is a little thing, but that's where it starts. The little things. If a child can't learn to cope with the little things in life, How could we ever expect them to Rise to the Challenge when the Big things hit them square in the face?

We've got a problem folks We are becoming a Nation of Wusses and you know it's bad when Rendell and I are on the same side of any argument.

Vote for Obama! Vote Yourself Out of a Job!

There are actually people in America who will attempt to Vote themselves out of a Job in a week and a half if they Vote for Barack Obama. Between Obama's Disastrous Tax Plan which will destroy small businesses, the fairness doctrine, his opposition to free trade, his desire to tax the US out of the global market and of course his Health Care Plan. I'd like you to name one industry that can survive this guy's plan...

Small Business is the back bone of our economy comprised of Restaurants, Stores, publications, and all the other categories you can find in the yellow pages. Obama's tax plan would raise taxes on 85% of Small Businesses. That additional tax will cause many to shut their doors completely. Others will be forced to reduce staff or benefits. Obama also promises to penalize those who don't offer health insurance to their employees, yet another incentive to Small Business owners to pull down their shingle. Considering that in some of the previous years Small Business was responsible for 100% of the jobs added to the economy, I'm thinking this won't be good for anyone. I am not alone, Small Business Associations across America including the one here in Virginia are endorsing John McCain.

In addition to those who own or work for a small business, there are whole industries that rely on small businesses as customers. As small businesses cut back on expenses, those who sell to Small Business owners will also feel the effect. From the office supply rep, to the advertising rep, to cleaning crew, who ever works for the SB owners will be feeling the pinch too.

Take a look at how one small business owner breaks it down. He does a much better job with the numbers than I can....

Barack Hussein Obama: The Big Bait and Switch

I know this will come as a Shock to some of you, but our President's full name is: Barack Hussein Obama. Yep, no need to abbreviate anymore, he has embraced his Middle name along with Muslim heritage and I guess that means we can too. Now.

As you may recall during the election, starting really in the Primaries it became a Huge issue to even say his middle name: Hussein. To the point where John McCain felt the need to tell everyone that it was inappropriate for Anyone to use it. Some went even further to suggest that saying Candidate Obama's middle name was "Hate Speech" Karl Rove, the Machiavellian architect was even reported to be on that bandwagon.

The Atlantic reported in February of 2008:

Rove said that the use of "Barack Hussein Obama" would perpetuate the notion that Republicans were bigoted and would hurt the party.

During the campaign, Obama even addressed the "Muslim" issue on his Fight The Smears website.

The Left wing so called "media watchdog", Media Matters covered the story at length in their article "Myths and Falsehoods about Barack Obama":

Evidence of its impact came on the February 9 edition of MSNBC's Hardball, when host Chris Matthews previewed Obama's official announcement, which occurred the next day in Springfield, Illinois, that he would seek the Democratic presidential nomination. Matthews hosted James Warren, Chicago Tribune managing editor for features, and Lynn Sweet, Chicago Sun-Times Washington bureau chief. Warren cited "the B.S. story about the, you know, the Muslim school in Indonesia," as "the sort of thing that is going to hit [Obama] and ... that could conceivably stymie him." Warren added that he has "run into folks who have bought into that total, absolute B.S."

Those of us who dared to reference Obama's own book, Dreams from my Father, where Obama wrote of his two years in a Muslim school, were deemed "Fearmongers" and "Bigots"....

Now all that has, ahem... Changed.

Jake Trapper at ABC.com reports:

During a conference call in preparation for President Obama's trip to Cairo, Egypt, where he will address the Muslim world, deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications Denis McDonough said "the President himself experienced Islam on three continents before he was able to -- or before he's been able to visit, really, the heart of the Islamic world -- you know, growing up in Indonesia, having a Muslim father -- obviously Muslim Americans (are) a key part of Illinois and Chicago."

Wait a minute? Obama's father Barack Hussein Obama, Sr was a Muslim? That's not what Obama said during the campaign...

From the ABC article:

The candidate's comment at a Boca Raton, Florida, town
hall meeting on May 22, 2008, was typical: "My father
was basically agnostic, as far as I can tell, and I didn't
know him," he said.

The GatewayPundit call this turn around, Sick. More like Sickening.

Candidate Obama claimed to be a Christian, but President Obama has said that the United States is "not a Christian nation", but instead one of the "largest Muslim nations in the world" and could be seen as a "Muslim Nation".

So Obama's got Muslim roots as the saying goes..Not that there is anything wrong with that. However since Barack Hussein Obama spent the entire campaign trying to cover up that fact, I do have a problem with it. If Obama had openly discussed his family tree and youth spent in Indonesia, not to mention that visit to Pakistan in 1981, and America voted for him anyway, that would be One thing. But He didn't. Yet, now President Obama is reclaiming his Muslim roots as a way to curry favor in the Middle East.

As you know I was front and center at the Republican Party of Virginia Convention this weekend. While I went in with limited expectations, I found myself rejuvenated in my fellow citizens and my Party, but nothing inspired me as much as a speech that was given late on Saturday afternoon, by a speaker whose name I had never heard before.

It was at least a thousand degrees in the Coliseum by 3 o'clock, and we were awaiting the results of the first round of voting, we had heard from everyone that had ever held a title in the Commonwealth. People were tired, hot and weary for the wear, but then a young man took the stage and in just 16 minutes he inspired those previously too exhausted to even go buy a $4 water, to leap to their feet and remain standing for most of his speech.

I am proud to say I was one of them, standing, clapping and admittedly crying as Cadet Colonel Adnan Barqawi shared his story of a young Palestinian boy raised in Kuwait, a man without a country, to his journey to Virginia Tech where he became commander of the Corps of Cadets at Virginia Tech then on April 17th of this year, he became an American citizen. A Man without a Country no longer...Cadet Col. Barqawi reminded all those within the sound of his voice.. that in America "Impossible is Nothing".

Bring on the Red meat! He's been talking for two minutes, and has already mentioned the teleprompter and Nancy Pelosi. I don't care what Liberals say, Conservatives are much funnier. Mostly because we are Clever, not mean.

"After five months of Barack Obama, Princess Pelosi and Prince Harry...it's Time for Change Virginia" I almost spit my coffee out on that one, the crowd clearly appreciated it too...

This capacity crowd is eating up the laundry list of things that Obama has done, that if George W Bush had done...well you know...Scareforce One, the "Austrian language", the ipod filled with speeches...you get the idea...

Sean is honoring my favorite president, Ronald Reagan pulling from his "Rendevous with Destiny" speech given in 1980. It always amazes me how Reagan's words are timeless, but it's because they are rooted in Conservative Principles which do Not Change with Time.

I think I just heard Hannity take partial credit for Hilary's defeat. I know I just heard him say that Terry "Carpetbagger" Mc was watching every minute of this convention....

Which reminds me, What are Terry Mc's qualifications to be Governor again? I mean I know the Clintons owe him a favor, but really? He did such a bang up job at the DNC, when he was chair they ran John Kerry remember...Nice work. But as I've said it seems he thinks he and part time Gov. Tim Kaine can just switch postions...

I hope and pray that Virginia doesn't allow our Commonwealth to be sold to the Democrats....Time to take a Stand Virginia....

Jeanine McDonnell is doing the final Introductions for her Dad, talk about a Daddy's girl, went to Notre Dame on an ROTC scholarship, and was called to serve in Iraq, during her Dad's campaign for Attorney General....She is awesome. Note to Meghan McCain: "This is how it's done." When can we get Jeanine out on the campaign trail?

As Bob McDonnell took the stage, it was as though Elvis himself had 'entered the building'...thousands on their feet, cheering and chanting "Go, Bob Go!", as CCR blared through the speakers....you can literally feel the excitement....

McDonnell: "I will uphold the highest ideals of the party of Lincoln and Reagan", ah it's music to my ears....

For all those that want to live the American dream, this campaign is for you, this campaign is about you...

Bob McDonnell just hit the heart of this campaign, Energy and Jobs. Get this, he actually has a "Plan", not just some empty promises...including making Virginia the first off shore oil producing state on the East Coast. He wants to create an environment where companies want to relocate to Virginia...Novel idea I know...but after two terms of Mark Warner and his lacky Tim Kaine, Virginians need to be reminded that it can actually happen....

What?! McDonnell is talking about specific plans to improve transportation issues here in the Commonwealth...he even named route numbers and again said he sees the need for a partnership between Public and Private efforts to get it done, forgive me for my shock, but we've been hearing that we need Raise taxes and continue to pay the Car Tax to pay for 'better roads" for 8 years, still have crappy roads and I still have to pay $1.50 in Tolls just to drive into the city....Sounds like Bob knows that Virginians want more from their Governor, than they've been getting....

Just heard one of the finest renditions of the Star Spangled Banner, I've ever heard. Those boys from UVA can really sing! Warms the heart...everytime.

The stage lighting is amazing, all of my favorite colors: Red, White and Blue.

Bill Bolling, steps out to introduce Bob McDonnell and gets a rock star welcome befitting the stage he is standing on....to say the crowd is fired up would be a huge understatement. Nothing's really even happened yet, and they've exploded in Cheers by my count five times already....

Bolling brings up the point that now is the time for all Republicans to work together...time to put Egos aside and do what is best for Virginia and the Country...

Bolling "We need to give people a reason to Believe in Our Party"....AMEN!!

An old friend of Bob McDonnell's, from Williamsburg, is doing the actual introduction apparently, learning a lot more about the next Governor of VA....makes me like him even more...

Another friend of McDonnell took the stage to let us know that Bob graduated from Notre Dame, where he attended on an ROTC scholarship, he served in the Military for over 20 years....

Now one of his Deputies in the office of AG, has taken the stage to Remind everyone what a great Attorney General Bob McDonnell has been....

Just heard from the father of HT2 Clodfelter, who was killed during the bombing of the USS Cole. He held on tight to his tears as he told of what Bob McDonnell did to honor his Son, as he finished the crowd gave him a heart felt standing ovation, and I must tell you I'm holding back the tears of my own, as the crowd erupted in chants of USA! USA! USA!

Morning! From the RPV Convention floor, had a few tech issues late yesterday and early this morning so I didn't get to do any updates....

Last night was awesome. As I said yesterday this is my first ever Convention so I didn't really know what to expect, but after the 'Opening ceremonies', there were events held throughout the night, including a gala featuring keynote speaker Mitt Romney.

Later, I traversed the many Hospitality suites with a little group of new friends comprised of Bloggers and first time delegates, and met lots of interesting and surprisingly fun people.

I wish that others could see the GOP that I see, one that is made up of many individuals, not a group that can be defined by any one stereotype. We are clearly a party in transistion, and that is evident from the wide variety of delegates as well as the focus on New Media at the Convention.

Now the folks are filtering in from around the state, there is certainly that cliched 'Buzz' in the air as everyone awaits the Guest speaker Sean Hannity and the voting to follow this afternoon.

There is a definite sense of community here, that I'm happy I was able to witness, as the thousands move into the coliseum, people are still finding time to stop and chat with friends old and new. The Positive energy in the room is palpable.

Bob McDonnell will be giving the opening remarks before Mr. Hannity speaks and to this crowd, it would be a toss up as to which they are Waiting to hear from more....McDonnell is a bit of a Rock star here in Virginia and I for one can't wait until he is our Governor, I have no doubt he'll consider it a full Time job, unlike his predecessor, Tim Kaine.

Blogging at the Republican Party of VA Convention

I have to tell you, I'm a little excited. I've never been to one of these before, but it definitely feels good to be a part of this...the Republican Party of VA Convention.

As I've been saying since the beginning of the year, 2009 is the Year to "Get Involved", we can't afford to wait any longer, and that is what I'm trying to do. I'm also heartened by the fact that over 10,000 other Virginians have choosen to do the same thing. You see last year, just over 3,000 delegates attended the convention, this year the number is 3.5 Times that. I guess my fellow Virginians have decided it's time to get involved too...

What's cool about the room I am currently sitting in, is that it's filled with Men, Women, and even a few kids that are from all ethnic and I'm guessing financial backgrounds. It certainly doesn't look like a 'stereo-typical' Republican gathering. This pleases me greatly.

Just a few minutes ago, the Convention was opened with the presenting of the flag, the singing of the National Anthem followed by the pledge of alligance. I know I'm a big ol' sap, but I still get choked up everytime I hear it. As part of the opening ceremonies, the following Creed was read:

We Believe:

That the free enterprise system is the most productive supplier of human needs and economic justice,

That all individuals are entitled to equal rights, justice, and opportunities and should assume their responsibilities as citizens in a free society,

That fiscal responsibility and budgetary restraints must be exercised at all levels of government,

That the Federal Government must preserve individual liberty by observing Constitutional limitations,

That peace is best preserved through a strong national defense,

That faith in God, as recognized by our Founding Fathers is essential to the moral fiber of the Nation.

Amen!

Okay, so no one actually said "Amen", but I certainly felt it in my heart. It also pained me a bit, as I wish those that were Representing us in Washington and in Richmond, read that Creed daily and vowed to uphold in Not just in Word, but in Deeds as well...

ObamaCare: Insanity at the Highest Levels of Government

It's an oldie but a goodie. The Nine scariest words in the English Language: "I'm from the Government and I'm Hear to Help". Our dear leader, President Barack Obama just can't seem to stop saying it. Apparently he's never heard the "scariest words in the English language part".

So far he's expanded the Role of Government in the Auto Industry, the Banking industry, the Mortgage industry and Now he's got his sites set on Health Care. The President's socialist, yeah I said it, Socialist agenda will include as Promised: ObamaCare with a price tag of $1.5 Trillion in New spending.

How does Obama plan to pay for all of this? You, silly. Now don't expect him to come right out and Say "You", instead he will discuss those that "Have" needing to help out those who "Have NOT". Let me explain something to you, if you have a Job, you are a "Have" in this scenario. Oh so you don't think you are a "Have" because you're currently struggling to make ends meet yourself, Too Bad. Tell it to Obama. He's got Big plans for YOUR money.

See his Obamacare will be funded through higher taxes on Soda, Booze and oh yeah Health Care. Remember those attack ads Obama ran just prior to the election mischaracterizing John McCain's plan to "Tax your Health Benefits" calling it the "the largest Middle class Tax Hike ever", it seems Obama has decided it wasn't such a bad idea after all, he just prefers a more direct approach. Instead offering the "Tax Credits" suggested by McCain, Obama is going to Tax you directly. Yep, More money coming out of your Paycheck, Can't you just feel the Change?

If you are currently employed and have health insurance, Obama wants to Tax your benefits to help cover those 'less fortunate'. Never mind all that you have to do to earn your Health benefits, you know like going to work and spending time away from your family, these people are Americans therefore, they Deserve Health Care and you are going to Pay for it. Whether you like it or not. Got it?

Rich Lowry explain it this way, in an op-ed in the New York Post:

The casual listener could be forgiven for thinking that Obama's passion is for reducing spending, not raising it, and for working with the private health-care industry cooperatively rather than over regulating it or supplanting it.

The groups' letter lends a superficial plausibility to the argument of backers of Obama-style reform that covering more people is consistent with painlessly cutting costs. The argument goes that, currently, the costs of providing health care to the uninsured are shifted onto everyone else.

Yes, but it's a tiny effect. A study in the journal Health Affairs found that this phenomenon accounted for at most a 1.7 percent increase in insurance premiums. Nor does more preventive care or health information technology -- a couple of Obama's favorite talking points when touting cost reduction -- produce miraculous, or any, savings, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

Massachusetts enacted a health-care reform in 2006 that included an individual mandate to buy insurance, exactly on the theory that it would save money by ending cost shifting. Instead, costs have exploded. Public spending on health care has jumped 42 percent since 2006. At risk of becoming the Iceland of health-care reform, the state is scrambling to avoid getting bankrupted by its cost-saving program.

Nationally, the most significant cost-shifting is arguably the product of Medicare, which pays doctors and hospitals preset fees per procedure, and so encourages overuse of resources and prevents the emergence of meaningful prices in health care. The program overpays for some services, underpays for others and spreads gross inefficiency throughout the system. It is also a fiscal basket case, sporting an $86 trillion unfunded liability.

This is why it's so perverse for Obama to suggest the creation of a "Medicare for all" program as salve to our health-care system. This is sold as a "public option" that people can choose only if they want it. As a practical matter, government will stack the deck in favor of its option to the detriment of private insurance. Businesses will be happy to dump their employees into the public system.

Ironically, Obama's state of Birth, Hawaii, has already tried "Universal Health Care" and it lasted all of Seven Months before they pulled the plug... Why was it such an Epic Fail?

Gov. Linda Lingle's administration cited budget shortfalls and other available health care options for eliminating funding for the program. A state official said families were dropping private coverage so their children would be eligible for the subsidized plan.

"People who were already able to afford health care began to stop paying for it so they could get it for free," said Dr. Kenny Fink, the administrator for Med-QUEST at the Department of Human Services. "I don't believe that was the intent of the program."

After just Seven months the State realized something that should have been evident to any rational thinking person from the Start: People don't want to pay for their Health care, while watching their Neighbors get it for "Free". It deincentivizes people who would normally work and pay their own way. Which is why the programs have failed every time they have been tried.

Even supporters of ObamaCare are forced to admit that it's going to Cost a significant amount up front, but insist that it will Work despite all the evidence to the contrary....

“Reforming the system will likely require an upfront investment, but I’m confident it will pay dividends in the future for our health, our economic competitiveness, and our federal budget,” Finance Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.) said in a statement. “The bottom line is that we can’t afford not to act. Without health care reform, health care spending will reach $4.4 trillion by 2018. These policies lay out a wide variety of options for making that investment.”

"We can't afford Not to Act"...Hmm, where have I heard that before? Oh I remember just before they passed all those Spending Bills they didn't take the time to Read and we all know how that is turning out....

In an article for NationalReview.com, Sen. Jim DeMint outlines the Problem with Government entering and taking over a Market:

The most comprehensive and reliable study of the public option, conducted by the Lewin Group, concluded that once the government enters the market, businesses will simply stop covering their employees. Whatever penalty fees they have to pay will be far less than the costs of insuring their employees.

The Lewin study estimated that of the 130 million Americans likely to enroll in the public option, 118 million will do so after losing their employer-sponsored plans. Add those 130 million to the 100 million now covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and other government programs, and we will have three-quarters of the American people dependent on the government for their medical care

.

This isn't complicated stuff folks. As the organization, Conservatives for Patients Rights, points out "Any serious discussion of health care reform that does not include choice, competition, accountability and responsibility — the four "pillars" of patients' rights — will result in our government truly becoming a "nanny-state," making decisions based on what is best for society and government rather than individuals deciding what is best for each of us."

ObamaCare ignores all of those Four 'Pillars' instead, backing the Nanny state alternative. There's another saying that comes to mind "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results", well We know that Government sponsored health care hasn't worked Ever, yet Congress plans to pass it anyway, Talk about Insanity! In fact Speaker of the House, not to be confused with "Liar of the House" a title she also holds, Nancy Pelosi,is hoping to shove this down our throats by the end of July. It seems to me that We The People can't Afford Not To Act, We need to Tell Congress, "Vote NO On ObamaCare" before we are all forced to Endure this "Help" from the Government.

From Cosmo Conservatives to Freedom Republicans, We Need To Represent.

I had the most interesting exchange with a dear friend yesterday, one that gave me real "Hope" for the future of our Country. Now as I've said before many of my friends have little or no interest in 'Politics' or what they call "The News", this person falls squarely in that category. Because she is such a Good Friend, however she expresses interest in the things that I'm involved in, such as the Tea Party. Since she had been out of the country during the big Protest, she wanted to know how it went. As I bubbled with enthusiasm, spilling out the details, on my pride in my country, about the success and joy of seeing around 5000 of my fellow citizens, standing out in the Rain and holding signs, she started looking more and more perplexed...

First she asked, Now what exactly were you protesting again...and I explained that We were protesting our Government's wasteful spending, high taxation and Demanding that they return to Fiscal Responsibility. Upon hearing this, she began nodding but continued to look inquisitive. Finally, she asked with just a hint of trepidation, "You're a Republican, aren't you?" I could tell my answer was being anticipated, so I responded: "Yep, The Conservative kind." God bless her, she respects our friendship enough to try and mask her shock, it was clear that even through her limited access to political speak, my dear friend has been taught that "Conservative" is a dirty word.

Her follow up question, rendered the consequent exchange, which put a fine point on the problem we Conservatives face:

Her: Really, You are a Conservative?

Me: Yes I consider myself to be very Politically Conservative

Her: (Looking confused) I kinda picture Conservatives as well...um...

Me: Amish?

Her: Um, Yes.

So there you have it, in the mind of the average American, Conservatives are equivalent to those that choose to live without electricity, cars, and store bought clothing.

Now a little background, this wonderful woman and I have been friends for nearly 10 years. We've worked together, had countless lunches and personal conversations, yet I think she was truly Shocked to find out that She had a Real Live Conservative friend in her midst all this time, and never realized it. Why? Because I'm fooling everyone by having cable, Internet, driving my car to and fro and wearing skirts that are above the knee!! My addiction to both American Idol and Gossip Girl, has worked as a fantastic cover for my secret life!!

I took the opportunity to very briefly mention that my Conservatism was based in a belief in limited government, with a focus on individual rights. That my involvement with the Tea Party was a result of my disdain at our Government's wasteful spending and lack of connection with The People. I also told her that while pretty much all of the 'Religious Right' was Conservative, that not all 'Conservatives' are Religious. Having said that the two can exist in harmony inside the Republican party because, true Conservatism respects the Rights of all individuals to worship however they see fit.

She mused as she nodded, "yes, limited government is good, no one wants total government control...' and on the Religious comment"uh-huh that makes sense" She then looked right at me and said, "You know I don't follow this, but What is the big deal with Gay Marriage? Can't they just go to a Lawyer?" This cracked me up, one because She never I mean never brings up political topics, and two because I had just written my first Gay Marriage post ever, the day before, in which I suggest that "All the 'issues' brought up by Gay Marriage advocates, can be solved with a quick trip to a Lawyers office.."

At that very moment we began our Very First 'political' discussion about Gay Marriage of all things, where we realized we were both on the same side. Some that probably honestly surprised us both equally....

Interestingly enough, over at HotAir.com, I came across a link to an article by Matt Allen over at TownHall.com, called The Case for Cosmopolitan Conservatism. In it the the Author successfully makes the argument that Ronald Reagan, Jack Kemp and others were effective, while remaining Conservative, because they knew how to relate to all people thus making them, "Cosmopolitan Conservatives", not to be confused with Cocktail Party Republicans, which are another breed entirely.

Lewis credits this "Cosmopolitanism" as the secret to their Success and Popularity:

It's also interesting to note that politics was a second career for both Kemp and Reagan. They had both enjoyed successful, high-profile, careers before getting involved in the business of politics. This exposed them to people of different races, income levels, backgrounds, etc. Both were also involved with unions -- in the case of Reagan it was as head of the screen actor's guild and in the case of Kemp it was the AFL Players Association.

If you stop to think about it, some of the conservative movement's most effective advocates have been quite cosmopolitan. Charlton Heston, the acclaimed film star who marched with Dr. King and went on to lead the NRA, was a terrific conservative spokesman -- as was William F. Buckley, the enfant terrible of the conservative cause, who, though not a movie star or famous athlete, was a wealthy and erudite conservative who essentially lived like a movie star.

I'm not sure I'm so fond of the term "Cosmopolitan", primarily because that term sounds almost as dated as "Conservative", but the author makes a point. Conservatism is most successful, when Conservatives are able to communicate their message to the masses. I know Shocking Right? Effectively communicate a believable message and people respond to it, Who would have guessed?

The bottom line is that for too long Conservatives have allowed Liberals and their cheerleaders in the Media, to frame our Image in their own terms and definitions. If we are truly going to be successful in resurrecting the Conservative movement, we must take ownership of our Label, and begin reeducating America about what it really means to be a "Conservative".

A man who has yet to disappoint me, Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC), has written a piece for the Wall Street Journal, that I consider a great start for both Conservatives and the Republican party as a whole:

Moderate and liberal Republicans who think a South Carolina conservative like me has too much influence are right! I don't want to make decisions for them. That's why I'm working to reduce Washington's grip on our lives and devolve power to the states, communities and individuals, so that Northeastern Republicans, Western Republicans, Southern Republicans, and Midwestern Republicans can define their own brands of Republicanism. It's the Democrats who want to impose a rigid, uniform agenda on all Americans. Freedom Republicanism is about choice -- in education, health care, energy and more. It's OK if those choices look different in South Carolina, Maine and California.

I like Senator DeMint's choice of the term Freedom Republicanism, simply because it highlights the real basis of Conservatism and the GOP: Individual Rights, Free Market Principles, Limited Government, all protected by strong National Security...you know Freedom. That's what we're really all about isn't it?

Now to be honest I wouldn't anymore refer to myself as a "Freedom Republican" anymore than a "Cosmopolitan Conservative", but I happen to find myself in both camps. Labels can be tricky that way....I personally feel like it's high time we peeled back the labels to find out what is really inside, and I think most Americans would be surprised to find out what category they might find themselves in....

Now back to that conversation with my friend...I don't know if my friend even voted in the last election, but I do know that after our conversation today, she's One person who is going to look at Conservatives and even Republicans differently than she ever would have before, so in my world that is a win. One Down, 60 Million to go.

Marriage is a Religous "Rite", Not a Constitutional "Right"

On this National Day of Prayer, I was inspired to write about what I see as the Largest issue facing Americans of all Religions: Legalization of Gay Marriage. The way I see it, Gay Marriage is just the most recent club that the Left has picked up to Bash Christians about the head. I don't think it has anything to do with "Gay Rights" or Discrimination, it's certainly not about "Love" which is why people are supposed to want to get married. All the 'issues' brought up by Gay Marriage advocates, can be solved with a quick trip to a Lawyers office...So What's the real story here?

Allow me to make myself Very Clear on this: I support the Rights of Gay Americans, 100% until of course they infringe on My Rights. If two people are lucky enough to find someone they Love and want to spend time with, Who am I to Judge? Sure Homosexuality is a Sin in all major religions, but so is Drinking, Smoking, and tons of other things that we do every day. Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin, remember?

In order to stave off the many comments I'm sure to receive about my classification of Homosexuality as a Sin, From the Big Three:

Christianity:
The Bible:
Leviticus 18:22 - "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."

Islam:
The Qu'ran: Sura 7:80-84: "And Lot, when he said to his people, 'Do ye approach an abomination which no one in all the world ever anticipated you in? Verily, ye approach men with lust rather than women- nay, ye are a people who exceed.'

Judaism:
The Torah: "You shall not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; it is abhorrent" (Leviticus 18:22).

Now let's move on, Shall we? I will refer to one of my favorite passages in the Bible on this one: Romans 3:23: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" and let me follow with another favorite: "Judge not lest Ye be Judged" (Matthew 7:1) . So as for the matter of "Gayness", I'm not Judging. To quote Andrew Breitbart, "I’m - as the MTV generation says - “gay-friendly.”

In fact until recently I would have considered myself one of the biggest supporters of the gay community. But the Craziness following the Prop 8 vote out in California, and the more recent attacks on Miss California Carrie Prejean, by so called "Gay Activist" groups, has pushed me out of the Christian closet so to speak.

Let me begin by saying, I see Gay Marriage or the uber PC Same-Sex Marriage as a Separation of Church and State issue, because well it is. Marriage is a Religious Rite, not a Constitutional Right. Marriage is a sacrament that is taken very seriously by all Major religions, not just Christianity, as is often suggested. The "Legalization" of Gay marriage will open the flood gates for law suits claiming discrimination against Churches of all Faiths that refuse to 'Marry' same sex partners.

Don't believe me? It already happened in New Jersey in 2007, when a Lesbian couple was denied access, to a privately held Methodist retreat, where they wanted to hold their "civil union" ceremony, they filed discrimination charges against the Church. While I truly believe that most Americans would support "Civil Unions", I don't see how any American could support the Government forcing Churches to sanction "marriages" that completely go against their Faith.

Religion may not be as trendy as it once was, but over 85% of all Americans say they still subscribe to some form of it. Knowing that all major religions condemn Homosexuality as a Sin, Where will these "Same-Sex Marriages" take place? How many Churches will be sued, by gay couples dreaming of that Big Church Wedding? How many Churches will lose their Tax exempt status by refusing to perform these 'ceremonies'?

It only takes one lawsuit to change the fabric of our Nation and our culture...just as Griswold vs. Connecticut was set up to protect the rights of consenting adults to use contraception in 1956, that ruling was twisted and used as the basis of Roe V Wade, the Discrimination Law Suits being wielded by the Gay Community, could set in motion the destruction of Organized religion as we know it. While not all Americans consider themselves "Religious", it is a Constitutionally protected Right to practice the Religion of Our Choice, and Should not be infringed upon by anyone including, Gay Activist Groups.

Watching the endless coverage of Miss California being berated for stating that she believed Marriage was between a man and woman, conjured an interesting segue in my mind...

Everyone remembers the murders at Columbine, the senseless tragedy and the way the Nation watched in horror as the stories of what happened inside that day trickled out. One of the stories that has always stayed with me, was the story of the young girls in the Library. The Vile Gunmen had cornered several students, with their guns pointed they asked 17 year old Cassie Bernall, "Do you Believe in God?" The Young girl answered "Yes I do", and was promptly shot and killed in cold blood. Cassie was not the only young woman asked that Question on That Day. Rachel Scott, 17 was the first to hear those words, "Do You Believe in God?" just before she became the first victim of the Columbine killers, She also answered "Yes".

I often wondered if I would have had that courage. I pray that I would. I don't think President Obama has it. It's being widely reported that Obama is "under increasing pressure to engage in Gay issues", even though he clearly stated while campaigning that He believed Marriage should be between a Man and Woman, now he calls that ideal "Misguided".

Miss California may not have been at the end of a Gun Barrel when her faith was tested but she was on National Television, and she had to know that When Perez Hilton asked that question, her answer could cost her the Crown. She had the courage to answer Honestly, and for that she has my undying respect.

While losing a Beauty pageant is nothing compared to the loss suffered by these young women and their families of Littleton, Colorado, it did get me thinking. What makes those that are attacking Miss California any different from the Columbine Killers? From where I stand they just haven't picked up a Gun..... yet. They seem to share a belief system that allows them to Openly criticize, then name themselves, Judge and Jury to decide the Fate of those that disagree with them.

In my Opinion the "Gay Marriage" issue isn't about Marriage at all, it's barely about Gays, its about creating a weapon for the Left to use against Believers of all creeds. The attacks that followed the Prop 8 vote, sent a clear message. These Activists will destroy anyone and anything that disagrees with them. They've got their sites set on the Church, and it's forcing all Americans to answer the question: "Do You Believe in God?"

History 101 (Crash course)

For those that don't know about history ... Here is a condensed version:

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters -gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:

1. Liberals

2. Conservatives

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement.

Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.

Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became known as girlie-men. Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.

Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.

Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare. Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood, and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer, mostly Bud. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, athletes, members of the military, airline pilots and generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America . They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.

Here ends today's lesson in world history:

It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily respond to the above before forwarding it.

A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that it will be forwarded immediately to other true believers and to more liberals just to tick them off.

I Was Born To Tea Party!! (Why I joined the Movement)

On the eve of the birth of a what I believe could be the start of a new American Revolution, I thought I might share a little with you about why I joined the Tea Party Movement. For me I think I've always been a 'Tea Party Patriot', I just didn't know it. You see long before I ever entered the big bad world of Blogging, I would sit around and annoy my friends with political conversations, which often ended up with me first explaining the topic, as most of my friends pay about as much attention to the "News" as I pay to NBA standings...

My sister and I on the other hand can go on for hours on either Politics or Football, and long ago dicussed that the only way to get any attention to your cause was to "Tie yourself to something", we were inspired by some Toon who had chained themselves to a Strip Club door in Daytona Beach. We of course found out about said Toon, because it was covered on Three cable news stations...

The subject came up again later when the much maligned Car Tax was left in place, by then Full Time Governor Tim Kaine, using the stock campaign line retraction, "Oh what I said about the Repealling the Car Tax? Yea, that's not going to happen." We in the Commonwealth are Taxed To Death, and yet we can't even get a small reprieve on an annual Tax on the "Blue Book Value" of your car. Every year that you own the car, and sometimes in years that you don't, but that is a story for another day..

..as I was saying, Protests came up again, This time we were trying to figure out a way to Toss a Car in the James River without causing the Enviromentalists to Hunt us down and kill us. We were unable to come up with a viable solution, but the thought behind it remained the same. You have to do something different, Newsworthy to get any attention to your cause, and to do so requires some Personal sacrifice and motivation, something most of us are just to busy or too afraid to do.

Almost two years ago now, one of my patient friends that is primarily a-political but humors me, suggested that I start a blog. He indicated I clearly had something to say. I just assumed he was trying to end the conversation, until the next day, when he e-mailed me the link to Blogspot.com. I thought, I might as well check it out. That day I wrote my very first Blog, called it "Spectator Nation"

Some Excerpts and some proof that I was born to Tea Party:

This nation was founded on the principle that the congress was to represent the will of the people, not as is happening now that the people were to conform to the wills of the congress...

....Part of the problem clearly lies in the lap of the American people. We used to be a people with willing to question authority, educate ourselves on the issues...

As long as we continue to sit on the sidelines, can we really complain that no one is getting the job done?

I wrote this on September 18, 2007. (So take that, all you, "Hey where were you during the last eight years?", crowd!)

It was another full year before I ever logged into Blogspot again, but I had taken the first tiny step. That's kind of what tomorrow is about everyone taking a tiny step, but taking it together. The journey of a 1000 miles begins with one step Right? Well we've got 11 Trillion "Miles" to go and counting, so it's time we Get to Steppin'.

Which is what I did next. I started blogging fairly regularing and participated in the On-line Tea Party. Something stirred in me, and I knew it was time to step out from behind the computer, into real life action. When the idea was suggested that Tax Day was a perfect date for a Tea party, I couldn't wait to get involved. A Tax Payers Revolt over Wasteful Goverment Spending, Where do I sign Up?! (I know some of you might think that last line is a joke, I assure you it is not.) After just a few e-mails I had joined up with a handful of like-minded individuals and we started planning the Richmond Tea Party.

At first there were four of us, then five, then six and it just kept growing. We held our 'meetings' via e-mail, assigning tasks and responsiblities. We did eventually meet face to face a few weeks ago, and it was great to see and in some cases hear these folks for the first time. This was the most "political" thing any of us had ever done, so I don't think any of us knew exactly what to expect.

As the saying goes go, Where there is a Will, There is a Way, and the one thing our little rag tag group was not lacking it was Will. After working with these individuals and talking with many others from across the country, my heart swells with Pride that all is Not lost: There are still Americans who understand the responsiblity, that We The People have to each other and to future generations.

I hope that the events being held throughout the country tomorrow, will be seen as a kick off, not a culminating event. My greatest wish is that all who attend Tea Parties, will leave as inspired as I have become. It is my prayer for our Nation, that those attending will head home with a plan to get more involved in their Goverment on the local, state and national level. The Tea Party Movement is a reminder that we are still a Government of The People, by The People, and We The People are Tired of being a "Spectator Nation", We The People are getting into the Game. Tomorrow we take that first tiny step, and We Take it Together.

You know it's bad when I start using a Taliban spokesman as a point of reference. Let me explain, I've been rolling ideas around in my head for a couple of days, it has been awhile since my last entry, (Thanks to everyone for their condolences and prayers over the past few weeks) and I wanted to get back at the keyboard again but I was struggling for inspiration. Then like a bolt of Lightening it came through my e-mail...

The headline on Yahoo News: U.S. reconciliation offer "lunatic": Taliban spokesman

"This matter was also raised in the past," said Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, referring to comments last month by Obama, who spoke of reaching out to moderate Taliban.

"They have to go and find the moderate Taliban, their leader and speak to them. This is a lunatic idea," Mujahid said by telephone from an unknown location.

Mujahid is one of two spokesman authorized to speak for the Taliban leadership council, headed by Mullah Mohammad Omar.

Look it is a rare occasion that I will find myself agreeing with the leaders of the Taliban, but if President Obama wants his administration to "find the Moderate Taliban", then I'm with the guy who wants to kill us on this one. The Moderate Taliban? The Taliban by definition is an extremist sect of the Muslim faith, so I'm guessing there aren't a lot of fence sitters at the meetings.

But why I am surprised at the Obama administrations response to the growing Taliban in Afghanistan? I shouldn't be, this is just another of Obama's "lunatic ideas"...The man has only been in office for a little over two months and he's already signed the Largest spending bills in the history of our Country.

Now that Obama has bought the Auto Industry, with Our Money, he's decided who should run it as well, so he basically fired GM CEO Rick Wagoner last week.

Politico reported:

The Obama administration asked Rick Wagoner, the chairman and CEO of General Motors, to step down and he agreed, a White House official said.

I'm not certain, I'm sure someone knows the answer... if you do help me out... Has the President of the United States ever fired an employee of Private Company before? Sounds like another Historical Moment in the Barack H. Obama Presidency...

After hearing about Obama's successful power grab, Barney Frank (D-MA) made a grab of his own and passed a bill through his committee that would allow the government to set the salaries of all employees of companies receiving federal funds. And when I say Government, I mean Turbo-Tax Tim Geithner. I bet those secretaries and single moms who work at AIG were Really overpaid, so I'm sure they'll still be "Well to Do".

It's not surprising then that the Tea Party Movement has gained so much momentum in the last month, as Americans watch the News only to find out that those in Power in Washington are spending our money faster than we can earn it on. Now They want to tell You How Much money you will be Allowed to Make as well. Only a Lunatic would support a plan like that.

Lessons from The Ant and The Grasshopper

You've heard the fable about the Ant and the Grasshopper, it's the one that is supposed to teach you the Value of hard work and the need to save for a 'rainy day'. Well it occurred to me the other day, that under the current Government, that Fable no longer really holds water. Proving that it's very difficult to have a Truly original thought, when I started "researching" (and by researching I mean 'Googling') this topic, I found that I was a few years behind the curve...

The Ant and Grasshopper, on of Aesop's Fables was originally recorded in Greek, but has since be translated into many languages, as has the meaning and moral changed through out the years. Even in the early versions the ending seemed to soften over the years...

And therfore there is one tyme for to doo some labour and werk / And one tyme for to haue rest / For he that werketh not ne doth no good / shal haue ofte at his teeth grete cold and lacke at his nede

Okay, clearly we don't speak or write like this anymore, but you get the idea. "For he that worketh No, He Does No Good. And if he's a Do-Nothing, He's going find himself cold, starving and on his own." Pretty clear message. Notice anything different from the story you've probably been told? Maybe you'll catch it in the 1894 Version:

When the winter came the Grasshopper had no food and found itself dying of hunger, while it saw the ants distributing every day corn and grain from the stores they had collected in the summer. Then the Grasshopper knew:

It is best to prepare for the days of necessity.

Figure out what's different? The Ant doesn't step in and help out the Grasshopper. The moral of the story is Work hard, save up, so you can take care or yourself. It wasn't until the 1930's when Disney got their hands on the story that the popular "happy" ending, where the Ant offers the Grasshopper a helping hand is added to the tale. I think you can see where I'm going with this...

It starts out the same but when winter comes the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving. CBS, NBC, and ABC show up and show pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to film of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

America is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can it be, in a country of such wealth that this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so? Then a representative of the NAAGB (The National Association of Green Bugs) shows up on Night Line and charges the ant with "Green Bias" and makes the case that the grasshopper is the victim of 30 million years of greenism. Kermit the frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper and everybody cries when he sings "It's Not Easy Being Green."

Bill and Hillary Clinton make a special guest appearance on the CBS evening news and tell a concerned Dan Rather That they will do everything they can for the grasshopper who has been denied the prosperity he deserves by those who benefited unfairly during the summer, or as Bill refers to it, the "Temperatures Of The 80's".

Finally the EEOC drafts the "Economic Equity and Anti-Greenism Act" RECTRO-ACTIVE to the beginning of the summer. The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and having nothing left to pay his Retro-Active taxes, his home is confiscated by the government.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he's in....which just happens to be the ant's old house.... crumbles around him since he doesn't know how to maintain it. The ant has disappeared in the snow. And on the TV; which the grasshopper bought by selling most of the ant's food, Bill Clinton is standing before a wildly applauding group of Democrats announcing that a new era of "Fairness" has dawned in America.

Well that certainly does seem a little more realistic than Aesop's version in today's political environment. Mr. Quinn may have been wildly ahead of his time...

In 2003, not to be out done, one of the most famous black female authors, Toni Morrison brought the World her version of the legendary tale. Apparently Ms. Morrison thought that the Grasshopper has gotten a bad rap for all these years, as a lazy do nothing. In her book "Who got Game, the Ant or the Grasshopper?", the Grasshopper was an Artist who inspired the Ant to work by playing him music.

A synopsis of Morrison's Fable provided by Barnes and Noble:

In "Who's Got Game?: The Grasshopper or the Ant?," Kid A, the ant, and Foxy G, his grasshopper pal, don't see eye-to-eye on their work ethic. But Grasshopper's artistic dreams may have listeners pondering what it means to give and take.

Well there you have it. You can't Have Dreams and Work Hard, silly. If you are a hard worker, you must be too stupid to have dreams or to be artistic. And Artistic people just Can't work, it destroys their creative flow, dontcha know? ;) Nevermind that this country was built on the back of the Worker Ants, you know the one's that buy the Art?

Why am I not surprised to find a Liberal rewritting the story, to make a Victim out of the Lazy grasshopper?

Leave it to my girl, Michelle Malkin to bring this classic tale to life in 2008, in a September column inspired by the first round of Bail-out Mania...unfortunately it's even more true today...

The Ant and the Grasshopper 2008 Edition by Michelle Malkin

In a meadow on a hot summer’s day, a Grasshopper was chirping and carousing his time away. He watched scornfully as an Ant nearby struggled to store up large kernels of food and build a secure nest. The Ant pulled overtime shifts to pay off his loans and accumulate retirement funds for the future.

“Give it a rest,” the Grasshopper said. “Why bother saving and slaving and toiling and moiling? Let’s party!” The Ant demurred: “I am planning ahead for winter and you should do the same.” The Grasshopper blew off the Ant, squandered his supplies the rest of the season, and abandoned his home while on vacation (paid for by tapping every last cent of his home equity gain) instead of holding down a job.

When winter came, the Grasshopper’s pantry was empty and his shelter ruined from neglect. The Ant, weary from planting, harvesting, and stocking up for months, was dining comfortably in his nest.

Cold, hungry, jobless, facing foreclosure, and up to his two pairs of eyeballs in debt, the Grasshopper limped to the Association of Community Winged Insects for Rescue Now and demanded recourse. The office was swamped with thousands just like him. ACWIRN immediately put the Grasshopper to work registering dead ants as new voters.

Funded with tax dollars from the rest of the meadow’s residents, ACWIRN organized mass protests at the Bank of Antamerica, ambushed its top officials at their private homes, harassed their children, and demanded that the meadow’s politicians halt all foreclosures (”We must keep Grasshoppers in their houses!”) and outlaw discriminatory lending practices against starving, homeless Grasshoppers (”Well-stocked shelters are basic insect rights!”)

The banking industry capitulated; the Orthoptera Lobby secured hundreds of millions of dollars in housing earmarks and grants and counseling subsidies to support the Grasshoppers with the shadiest credit and employment histories. Antie Mae, the meadow’s government-backed home lending giant, fueled the push for increased insect homeownership in the name of biodiversity. Its executives cooked the books and headed for the hills. Katie Cricket and the Mainstream Meadow Media joined the grievance-for-profit circus, profiling Grasshopper sob stories and drumming up ratings as bewildered Ants wondered who was looking out for them.

The banks drowned in toxic debt. More Grasshoppers fell behind on their mortgage payments. Bailout mania and panic gripped the meadow.

Our little Ant, minding his own business, heard a knock on his door one late winter night a year later. It was his old, sneering Grasshopper neighbor. With ACWIRN’s presidential candidate, Barack Cicada, now in office, the Grasshopper had been hired by the meadow as a tax collector.

“I’m here to take your provisions,” the Grasshopper cackled.

But it was the Ant who had the last laugh. “I’ve learned my lesson,” he told his shiftless friend. “Why bother saving and slaving and toiling and moiling? I’ve spent all my savings. I’m walking away from my mortgage. Thrift is for suckers,” the Ant said as he headed out the door, leaving the Grasshopper empty-handed.

While I realize that most of my readers are more like the hard working, Ant. Michelle Malkin brings up the crucial point, with 401K's dropping over 50% in some cases, Taxes going through the roof, and Pres. Obama spending our Money faster than He can steal it from our Paychecks.. How long do you think it will be before all the Worker Ants of America, say "Screw it." I'm going to chill with the Grasshopper?

Are Meghan McCain's 15 Minutes Up Yet?

Meghan McCain is following in her father's Media darling footsteps, by doing what the OLM loves Republicans to do criticize the party. Once again Meghan McCain, the RNC's own Paris Hilton, takes great pride in being called a RINO.... Only by her own admission, she was never really a Republican in the first place... Now the Bloggette has decided she's all grown up and is taking on Conservatives and has called out Ann Coulter by name in her recent column at the Daily Beast, "My Beef With Ann Coulter".

McCain writes:

It is no secret that being a Republican isn’t the most hip political stance a person can take right now. President Obama has successfully established himself as the hippest politician around. You know you’re big when Katy Perry wears a dress with your face on it to host the MTV Europe Music Awards. To my fellow Republicans: I’m sorry, I wish I could be more positive about the current “hipness” of our party. But being a Republican is about as edgy as Donny Osmond. Granted, being “hip” is not a reason to join a political party, or a reason to agree with its ideals. But it is a way to get the attention of a generation—or, more specifically, my generation.

What was she thinking when she said Hillary Clinton was more conservative than my father during the last election?

To make matters worse, certain individuals continue to perpetuate negative stereotypes about Republicans. Especially Republican women. Who do I feel is the biggest culprit? Ann Coulter. I straight up don’t understand this woman or her popularity. I find her offensive, radical, insulting, and confusing all at the same time. But no matter how much you or I disagree with her, the cult that follows Coulter cannot be denied. She is a New York Times best-selling author and one of the most notable female members of the Republican Party. She was one of the headliners at the recent CPAC conference (but when your competition is a teenager who has a dream about the Republican Party and Stephen Baldwin, it’s not really saying that much).

Coulter's most aggregious offense appears to be stating that Hillary was more Conservative than Meghan's Dad. Coulter's superb use of hyperbole aside, this statement wouldn't have matter if Mitt Romney was on the Ticket. This leaves me with just one question, Who the Hell Cares What Meghan McCain thinks? The girl voted for John Kerry.

Yes. John Kerry. Even 10% of registered Democrats couldn't bring themselves to vote for the helmet headed traitor, but it didn't stop lil' Meghan McCain the Maverick! Kerry testified against his Fellow American soldiers, calling them rapists and murderers. Most Americans were offended by Kerry's tossing of another's awarded ribbons, while clinging to his own for political gain. But not Meghan McCain, even though her father, John McCain is one of the most famous Vietnam Veterans, and certainly our most documented Prisoner of War. Apparently that didn't bother, the younger McCain as much as the media generated rumors surrounding George W. Bush and the 2000 election. Bothered me. Of course I actually read the Swift Boat Veterans book, maybe she should just ask her Dad.

After watching Meghan McCain run to any microphone to "Confess" she voted for Kerry, just after her Dad won the primary, she also wanted the World to know that she wasn't like 'Other Republicans'...She told the LA Times she was an Independent, while Politico reports she may have actually been a Democrat in 2004.

During the election, Meghan portrayed herself to any and all media outlets as the Young face of the McCain campaign, thus the GOP. She wrote on her blog, did numerous interviews for both TV and Print. She wrote a Children's book about her Dad. Meghan was the talk to the Town for most of the campaign season, she brought a spot of excitement to her father's Dull campaign. That was until September, when America met Sarah Palin, no longer was Meghan McCain the only girl at the Dance. I'm guessing that's when the trouble started, and of course the leaks...Even the very liberal Wonkette questioned McCain's antics in her piece... "Is Meghan McCain Cool or Just a Brat?"

Post election, Ms. McCain has forcefully remained mum on the Sarah Palin stories...telling several interviewers that she wouldn't discuss the matter...Hmmm, Do I smell a Book deal in the Works? The Princess of Political Media Whoredom is probably scribbling notes with smiley faces as you read this, about the "totally uncool way that Palin took her spotlight"....

And in this no doubt pending Book release we can glean such insights as

Republican party has to have a message that's simple that goes out. Hope and change was something that really stuck with my generation. It's something that's on bumper stickers and t-shirts. And it's something that was easy for people to understand.

Meghan thinks it's all about being "Hip", and she doesn't think the GOP is. Therefore she feels the need to assure everyone...'I'm not like them..., I'm cool!' In an interview with GQ magazine, McCain attempted up her "Hipness Quotatient"by expressing her love for the Morally corrupt MTV show, Tila Tequila.

On TV she’s currently riveted by MTV’s A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila. “It’s a bisexual-dating show!” she cries. “It’s hilarious!”

(It is taking great restraint not to go off on a tangent about my issues with Tila Tequila and shows like it on MTV, suffice it to say the target demographic for MTV is Teens ages 12-17 and I don't think programming soley focused on Sexuality (Hetro,Homo or Bi) is appropriate. Putting soap box away now.)

With Meghan McCains insatiable desire to hang out with the Cool Crowd in Political Circles, it wouldn't surprise me to find a "Yes,We Can!" sticker on her car, a hybrid, no doubt. In all of Ms. McCain's chattering she has given us one piece of advice that is worth following...

In a rare moment of maturity, McCain wrote:

I am not suggesting that extreme conservatism wasn’t once popular, nor am I suggesting I should in any way be any kind of voice for the party. I have been a Republican for less than a year.

Here's a Novel idea, Ms. McCain, if you don't want to be a "voice", then Stop Talking. I'm certain Meghan McCain will join Kathleen Parker, on the short list of the OLM's favorite Republicans, but I'm hoping her 15 minutes are almost up....

This great country, which I hold so dear, is in trouble. The principles on which our nation was founded seem to be deteriorating daily. Our government, comprised of elected officials sworn to represent us, has abandoned its sovereign duty to the people. Our voices, already muffled by the roar of a liberal media, are falling on the deaf ears of an uncompromising Congress. In an economic crisis created in large part by irresponsible government interference, it seems our government's answer is more of the same. If big government was the cause, how can bigger government be the solution?

In the 1760's the British Government began to use taxation as a tool to suppress prosperity and limit the liberties of its people. Much like our own, the British government abused its power and submitted, not to the citizens, but to the special interests and political gain. On December 16, 1773, American colonists decided, as have we, that enough is enough. In a bold act of protest, the Sons of Liberty filled the Boston Harbor with more than 45 tons of East India Company tea.

The Boston Tea Party put into motion the events that would ultimately lead to the American Revolution and on July 4, 1776, our founding fathers would adopt The Declaration of Independence. This document not only announced our independence from Britain, but it asserted our unalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. In addition to these, the Declaration of Independence ensures our right to protect ourselves from a government that becomes destructive and to alter, abolish, or recreate a government that has ceased to fulfill the duties for which it was created.

In the shadow of failed bailouts that have been squandered away by greedy CEO's and uncooperative labor unions, our government has passed legislation that will prove to be the largest and most costly expansion of government in history. With trillions of dollars gone and wasted, we have stood and watched the America we love slip away; the America that has flourished in a system of free market capitalism and thrived in a democracy centered around states' rights, it is our duty to act. We will stand by and watch no more.

This Friday, all across this nation, "we the people" will be invoking the spirit of our forefathers and joining our voices in an effort to drown out the chatter of mediocrity. We will have a Tea Party of our own. In fact, we will have many. We will speak out against the infliction of a debt that will cripple future generations. We will protest the use of fear by our leaders to impose upon us their liberal agendas. We will respond to the threat of socialism that intensifies as wealth is seized and redistributed. We will reclaim our exceptionalism that sets up apart and provides every man, woman and child with the opportunity to achieve the American Dream . We will reject the class warfare and victim mentality that eats away at peace and prosperity. And once again, we will empower the people...and the people will prevail.

Last week during an interview on CNBC Rick Santelli, may have inadvertently as he said "hit a nerve" with American Taxpayers when he called for a "Chicago Tea Party" in protest of the wasteful spending inside the recently passed "Stimulus" bill. Santelli's words rang true to anyone who heard them, and I although I've always been proud of My country, today I am truly feeling the excitement of being an American.

Santelli's pointed reference to that cold night in Boston in 1773, has inspired thousands to go into action and organize "Tea Parties" around the country. I must tell you, I've been wanting a Rebellion of this sort for a long time, and I am pleased to find out that I am not alone.

The Right of every American to participate in civil Protest is a Right, that few Republicans, Conservatives or other Normal people with jobs, rarely get to fully enjoy. Liberals have historically "owned" the Protest market. Sure you might find a few Religious Conservatives at a local abortion clinic on any given day, but for the most part, major protests are held only by Liberals. Why? Because they don't have jobs... silly.

My sister and I have long discussed tying ourselves to something in protest over the years..We very seriously discussed organizing a rebellion against the unexplainable Car Tax here in Virginia. Tim Kaine, our current part time Governor, (you've probably heard of him, He also moonlights as the DNC Chairman.)promised to repeal it or at the very least reduce it, then after being elected immediately changed his position. I know You are Shocked, a Democrat lied.

I digress... my sister and I once pondered the idea of tossing Cars into the James River in protest, but figured the Environmentalist wackos would have a field day with the 'impacts' of our little rebellion. But yet we longed to be heard and it seemed like the only time elected officials pay any attention is when the Media spotlight is on them...as in a Public protest with lots of people and signs....It's why the Liberals do it all the time.

But what happens when hard working Taxpayers realize that if they don't stand up and say something, No One will and President Obama will use the "Generational Theft Act of 2009", to take more Money out of American's wallets? How will America react to Democrats and Obama saying we need to Pay more Taxes, when we all Know that many High ranking Democrats don't even pay their Taxes? Rising Stars Light GOP Path to 2012

After watching President Obama's State of the Union address last night, I know many Republicans are thinking the same thing I that I am thinking...2012 Can't get Here soon enough!!

Everyone knows that Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney and even Rudy Guiliani will take another run at the Presidency in 2012, if the public support is there. Huck will do it even if it's not. He wants to be President. I don't understand why he can't just be happy being the white male Oprah, his show is pretty good. I truly I hope Huck is not our candidate in four years. That being said, if Huckabee is on the ballot, make no mistake I will vote for him... if my only other option is Barack Obama....

But we already know alot about these guys and what we know is that none of them could win the Primary, against John McCain. So I think you'll agree we Need some new blood. Some of these names you may have heard before but it's time to start really paying attention to what they are doing. Their actions and leadership over the next two years will be critical in determining the future of the Republican party and our Nation as we know it....

Bobby Jindal

I'm going to start with Bobby Jindal, mostly because he is fresh in everyone's mind from his nationally televised response to Obama's address...What I found most interesting was watching the OLM build up Jindal prior to the response, then gleefully tearing him to bits after it was over. Welcome to the National Media, Bobby Jindal. The OLM will spend the next several years trying to decide if they want to say nice things about the 37 year old son of immigrants who is turning Louisana around, one tax cut at a time or do they want to brand him as a Far Right extremist because they view him as a threat for the Presidency?

I always like to judge the value of my candidates based on the level of Vitriol sprewed about them in the OLM. It's kind of my own little 'scale' system. Where the amount I like a candidate is inversely portioned to how much the OLM likes a candidate. Right now the OLM is merely Mocking Jindal, feining disappointment in his response last night, while clearly not listening to a Word he said. If Jindal keeps up the good work in Louisana for another term as he's suggested, maybe just one day he will get the Hate-filled tyriads that are currently directed at the next person on my list, Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin

America was introduced to Sarah Palin throught he Media "filter" as Palin herself called it. Even with that OLM Lenses focused solely on any gossip or rumors they could pick up on, Many Americans still feel in love with the Governor from Alaska, myself included. I'll admit it.... I <3 Sarah Palin! She represents what I am looking for in a role model. Strong, smart and not afraid to look like a woman!!

John Zeigler's new film "Media Malpractice" has been being teased since just after the election, when he released the Viral video that put him on the map showing how uninformed Obama voters were on the issues. Recently Zeigler sat down with Sarah Palin for an interview that will appear in his documentary. I don't know how any self respecting person would continue to believe the lies about Sarah Palin's intellect after watching this clip...

Since the film is nearing release, Zeigler has been out promoting it on cable news, and calling the OLM liars to their face. You gotta love that...

Here's John Zeigler taking on that Lovable Liberal Facist, Matt Lauer, it's worth a moment to watch...

As Zeigler conceeds his case against the Media is probably one of the easiest things to "Prove" in history...as he says to Matt "You Guys were in Love with Obama!", just try to keep from smiling. And while Palin is playing Coy about another Run at the White House, she has recently formed her own Political Action Commitee (PAC) called SarahPAC. So expect her to be around for awhile.

Eric Cantor

I'm proud to say that I voted for the next person on the list in November, the same day I voted for Sarah, Eric Cantor. Now some of you are becoming more familiar with Rep. Cantor since he became House Minority Whip, but those of us in his home district of Virginia have been lucky enough to have watched him develop into the force he is today. Cantor is a no nonsense man, something that has made him very popular here at home.

Cantor was splashed into the Headlines after his run in with President Obama during the meetings prior to the Stimulus. You remember our new President, who is above partisian ship, looked at Rep. Cantor and said "I'll trump you on that, I Won." Cantor then turned around and "whipped" up exactly Zero Republican votes in support of Obama's Porkulus the following Tuesday. This little move secured Cantor's position as the leader of the loyal Opposition party. Nicely done, Mr. Whip.

Eric Cantor gave a 90 second statement that delivered one of the most effective "Messages" I've heard from any in the GOP in a long time....

I would like to point out that every one on this list has more experience than Barack Obama did on November 4th, 2008, Right Now. Today. The last person I'm keeping an eye on hasn't quite met that requirement yet, and isn't really a serious contender in 2012 but he'll share Obama's qualifications by mid-term elections 2010. If they were Democrats you could Consider them Vetted. ;)

Jason Chaffetz

Since this is America and literally anything is possible, allow me to introduce you to Jason Chaffetz. That name may not sound familiar yet, but he's the Representive from Utah that made headlines awhile back for choosing to sleep in his office on a cot instead of paying for a high priced Washington, DC apartment like his collegues.

This act alone makes me intrigued by him, however Chaffetz is proving to be just as Saavy as he is Frugal. In an effort to reach out to his constituents he has started producing "Cot-Side Chats", a tip of the hat to his current living conditions, and placing them on his website.

This week he chose to discuss the "Omnibus", the new Half Trillion dollar spending bill being pushed through congress by Heckel and Jeckel, also known as Sen. Reid and Speaker Pelosi, Chaffetz makes a simple case as to why he doesn't support this out of control spending spree...

His contempt at spending an additional 8% on top of Porkulus and Bailout Mania, on Omnibus is palpable. You can see why I like this guy. He represents what makes a great leader, he practices what he preaches. Something everyone should be able to respect.

Whomever the Republican candidate is in four years, I will undoubtly support them over the alternative. Judging by the slide in Obama's poll numbers this week, I won't be alone. However with all this Talent in the Pool, Republicans certainly have a lot of reason to be excited about the future of our Party.

Semi-Live Blog of the State of the Union

Is it wrong that I am more excited about seeing Bobby Jindal's response than I am about hearing whatever President Barack H. Obama has to say? Is that really so wrong? I mean Obama has already released the majority of his speech already. The Huffington Post has already got a blog up with the released excerpts...You can Read it Here.

However, the Obama administration didn't really try to down the Awesomeness of His address....suggesting that Obama's address tonight would be "Reaganesque" They've even changed the name it's not a State of the Union anymore, it's a State of the Economy, now....

I am kind of interested to see how the Congress reacts to him, who stands, who sits who applauds etc....

Talking heads brought up Obama's campaign speech where he said that the divided congress in reaction to Bush was a sign of needed change....that we needed to be supportive of each other. Interesting considering that would mean that Obama disagreed with his Own party the Democrats for their actions at Bush's addressess...

Another confession, I truly love the pomp and circumstance surrounding the President's official addresses, the formal announcements, the introductions, it's the procedure of it all. It reminds us of our History. It reminds me of why, I am always proud to be American.

President Obama has entered the building...let the hand shaking and mugging for the cameras begin!!

This sounds a lot like a campaign speech. I know I shouldn't expect more, but as promised he opened on an "optimistic note" if you want to call it that. He prefaced it with a laundry list of problems I have yet to hear a solution to, so I'll keep you posted on whether or not it is really optimistic...

It begins with Jobs...Now the Porkulus isn't a Stimulus, now it's a "Recovery Plan"...to create jobs...Let me know how that Tattoo removal money grows our economy...

He admits that some are "skeptical" about the Pork filled stimulus Package...Oh my god. I just laughed out loud, when announced that to squelch the concern of republicans and other thinking Taxpayers that Joe Biden would be over seeing the spending....As funny as that is.. Obama blew the line by following up with "because Nobody messes with Joe..." OMG!

That one just about got me.

He wants to speak candidly to us about the economy...

Oh there's Boy genius, Tim Guenther, the man can't operate Turbo Tax, but Obama just put him in charge of all of Our money...Don King was right "only in America!"

Obama is talking but I haven't yet figured out if he's explained how the largest spending bill in history will actually help the teachers, struggling homeowners, and working people, oh and of course "the average family". He just keeps saying it will help them in all aspects of life.

Obama hasn't learned yet, the Devils in the Details when times are tough. Right now people want details, not rhetoric.

Jeez. Obama just said "and This Time Banks will have to...This Time CEO won't be able to...Those Days are Over"...Does he not Know that the Dems had control of congress in October? I bet he voted for himself! (thank you, John Zeigler!)

Watching Nancy Pelosi smirk and sneer over Obama's shoulder is mildly entertaining, however watching her eyes light up with glee when Obama discusses our slide into socialism, is unsettling...to say the least..

Hybrids roll of our assembly lines, and sit in Dealer lots because they cost about $7000 more on average than non-hybrid cars of the same model. In an economic downturn why would you force the auto manufacturers to produce a product that would cost a customer More money? Those cars will sit or they will sell undervalue either way they will cost the Auto Industry and thus Us the Taxpayers, Money.

Yawn! Bring on Bobby Jindal!! Bobby! Bobby!

Now Obama is telling us it's time for Nationalized Health Care too. "No Really, It's Time." Okay what ever you say Dear Leader. Have you been to Canada? The national plan there is "Don't Get Sick!"

Oh good news. Obama is going to cure cancer. Well at least he's going to try. UGH!! The government should stay out of this! Private research has always delivered the Best Results....the Government is inefficient and can't afford the Best minds in the field...Making insurance portable and competitive is the only real solution in Health Care...

I'm sorry don't we offer free educations now? Obama says we need to make sure all kids have access to public schools, are those that don't now? Oh I know he's talking about illegals, but no they get educations here too...Not sure who he means..

But since we are on the subject, Obama have you opened your "letter" from the Kids in DC, who are begging you to allow them to keep their school voucher program....

I think I just threw up in my mouth, the way Obama introduced Teddy Kennedy was too much...Just too much. A man who has never asked what his country could do for him...

Wooo.wait a minute. I was drifting in and out, But Obama just said he was proud they passed a Stimulus package that was "Ear Mark Free" that might be technically correct, but it's nowhere Near the Truth. That Waste filled pay back bill will not Save us money over the next ten years...I don't care how you do the math...

"Let him be Clear..." If your family makes less than $250 a year, you won't see your taxes increase. Not one Single Dime. If fact you will get some money, infact these checks are on the Way! Unless of course you live in Kansas or California in which case the State is broke, so no tax returns for you! ;)

That last bit should make for a great campaign ad for Sarah Palin or Bobby Jindal in 2012. Obama is going to raise everyone's taxes, he's just not going to tell you about it.

OH and he's not afraid of Terrorists!

Obama just took a page out of Bill Clinton's book, promised pay raises for the Military! Standing O on both sides of the aisle. Let's see that he does that...shall we? Clinton nearly destroyed our Military during his tenure, we can't afford to allow Obama to do the same.

Oh I wish Nancy Pelosi would stop that smirking..Nice shot of Hillary Clinton, wonder what she's thinking?!

Biden is just sitting there trying to look serious and Vice-presidential....I'd love to see that guy from "Lie to Me" take on the micro-expressions in this crew...

Obama just highlighted the man from florida who gave away 60 million dollars to his employees...

Now he's talking about that brilliant young lady who wrote to congress asking for help for her deteriorating school...Why did it take a student writing to congress for someone to take notice? Are there No Adults in Her home town? Obama didnt mention the school's name, I don't know it is because he forgot or because he didn't remember...

So He "Gets It" but he still wants to Nationalize Banks, Universal Health Care and Increased Government involvement in Schools and all aspects of our life...Obviously he doesn't "Get" what I'm thinking, because those all sound like Socialism and I'm not interested.

He's Right about One thing We All Want America to Be Successful. But Clearly we have different ways of going about it.

Time to Hit the Harbor! Americans Plan "Tea Party" Protests Across the Country

Last week during an interview on CNBC Rick Santelli, may have inadvertently as he said "hit a nerve" with American Taxpayers when he called for a "Chicago Tea Party" in protest of the wasteful spending inside the recently passed "Stimulus" bill. Santelli's words rang true to anyone who heard them, and I although I've always been proud of My country, today I am truly feeling the excitement of being an American.

Santelli's pointed reference to that cold night in Boston in 1773, has inspired thousands to go into action and organize "Tea Parties" around the country. I must tell you, I've been wanting a Rebellion of this sort for a long time, and I am pleased to find out that I am not alone.

The Right of every American to participate in civil Protest is a Right, that few Republicans, Conservatives or other Normal people with jobs, rarely get to fully enjoy. Liberals have historically "owned" the Protest market. Sure you might find a few Religious Conservatives at a local abortion clinic on any given day, but for the most part, major protests are held only by Liberals. Why? Because they don't have jobs... silly.

My sister and I have long discussed tying ourselves to something in protest over the years..We very seriously discussed organizing a rebellion against the unexplainable Car Tax here in Virginia. Tim Kaine, our current part time Governor, (you've probably heard of him, He also moonlights as the DNC Chairman.)promised to repeal it or at the very least reduce it, then after being elected immediately changed his position. I know You are Shocked, a Democrat lied.

I digress... my sister and I once pondered the idea of tossing Cars into the James River in protest, but figured the Environmentalist wackos would have a field day with the 'impacts' of our little rebellion. But yet we longed to be heard and it seemed like the only time elected officials pay any attention is when the Media spotlight is on them...as in a Public protest with lots of people and signs....It's why the Liberals do it all the time.

But what happens when hard working Taxpayers realize that if they don't stand up and say something, No One will and President Obama will use the "Generational Theft Act of 2009", to take more Money out of American's wallets? How will America react to Democrats and Obama saying we need to Pay more Taxes, when we all Know that many High ranking Democrats don't even pay their Taxes? Something tells me that why we are having a Nationwide Chicago Tea Party this Friday at Noon....(If you are on Facebook, Join the Nationwide Chicago Tea Party.)

The original Boston Tea Party was an act of Rebellion against the High Taxes being paid by colonists, while they recieved No representation in British Parliment. Hence the saying so loved by what Democrats hope to make our newest state, Washington, DC. "Taxation without Representation". The Colonists tossed the Tea into the Boston Harbor and America's love affair with Coffee begins....(talk about a Butterfly effect!)

This was the Birth of our Nation, the First Americans did not want to Pay for things they did not use nor did they support. And here we are again, over 200 years later facing the same problem. We've got Democrats in Congress who have already passed the largest spending bill in history, coupled with a President who has never seen a Tax increase he didn't like. Now that the Porkulus was signed into law, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi are already planning "Porkulus Payoff Bill #2" , which will cost Taxpayers another half a Trillion dollars.

There is a growing frustration amongst Americans, Michelle Malkin has been documenting the recent groundswell of Taxpayer Rebellion through her website. In a recent post she shared some of the e-mails, parodies and spoofs that she's been sent by readers, one of her readers, L.C. wrote the following tribute set to the tune of "American Pie", try to keep this from running through your head all day....

A few weeks ago I was expressing my personal desire for a Taxpayer rebellion on Twitter and I asked "What should we throw in the Harbor?" The #1 Answer was Congress. (Just so you know... the #2 answer was Liberals...) That of course was just my humble little survey, but apparently it's as accurate as any Gallop Poll, because Congressional Approval Ratings continue at record lows, and Rassmussen reported last week that only 38% of Voters thought the Stimulus would work, yet Democrats in Congress and President Obama passed it anyway and are already thinking about ways to take more of Your Money, It that isn't Taxation without Representation, I don't know What is.....

In one of her better interviews, Ann Coulter discussed the "Santelli Effect" on Fox News this morning, with everyone's favorite anchor woman, Megyn Kelly.

While Coulter stops short of promoting this week's planned "Tea Parties", I'm not going too...I will be participating in this Friday's Nationwide Chicago TeaParty with my friends at Top Conservatives on Twitter and Smart Girl Politics and I am currently trying to make plans to attend the Washtington DC Tea Party at the Washington Monument at Noon. When Myth and Reality Collide: FDR meet Obama

America, there's a saying, "if you don't learn from your History, you are doomed to repeat it". Yet for some reason Barack Obama and his friends in the Media are loving all this Obama is the New FDR talk... Franklin D. Roosevelt (D) for all his mythology was a four term president that presided over and by all accounts extended the Great Depression for at least 7 years, so tell my Why anyone would want Barack Obama to resemble him in anyway? Having said that if the Fedora fits...

Obama's Recession already in Full Swing, and the New President is just a few days away from signing into law the most expansive Government spending bill in the History of our Nation and throwing us into a full blown Depression. He's been in office for less than a month, and he was some kind of community organizer before that, he's got a cabinet filled with Tax Cheats and we're giving him a blank check of Taxpayer Money in the 'Hope' that the Government can Solve the Problem? We probably are going to get what we deserve...

Surely many who voted for Obama saw him as potentially the new FDR, the man to lead us out of hard economic times. But they’ve been misled, for even FDR wasn’t FDR. He is a quasi-mythical creature who not only didn’t end the Great Depression but probably greatly prolonged the nation’s economic agony with his New Deal programs and a menagerie of other foolish measures.

Just look at the numbers. Unemployment from 1923 to 1929 averaged a mere 3.3%. In FDR’s first year, 1933, it hit its high point of 24.9%. Joblessness did decline for the next three years to 14.3% in 1936, but that’s still deep in depression territory. Then the next year unemployment actually spiked up and didn’t fall to 1936 levels again until 1941. “By June 1937, writes Marquette University economic historian Gene Smiley in The Concise Encyclopedia of Economics, “the recovery...was over.”

The Recovery was over.

FDR promised his National Industrial Recovery Act or NIRA would put people back to work and rehabilitate the economy. Sound familiar? Obama's Stimulus Package brought to you by the Democrats and three Republicans (Collins, Snowe and Spector-remember their names),will Stop the Natural Economic Recovery. It won't Stimulate anything, except for donations to the Campaign cofffers. This isn't a "Stimulus" it's "Porkulus" filled with Billions of dollars of wasteful spending. There is even a website dedicated to tracking all the Pork in the Stimulus...Porkulus.org

Obama's plan to Grow Government will hurt the private sector now, just as it did in the days of FDR. Don't believe me...How about Two Economists from UCLA?

After scrutinizing Roosevelt's record for four years, Harold L. Cole and Lee E. Ohanian conclude in a new study that New Deal policies signed into law 71 years ago thwarted economic recovery for seven long years.

"Why the Great Depression lasted so long has always been a great mystery, and because we never really knew the reason, we have always worried whether we would have another 10- to 15-year economic slump," said Ohanian, vice chair of UCLA's Department of Economics. "We found that a relapse isn't likely unless lawmakers gum up a recovery with ill-conceived stimulus policies."

Ill Conceived Stimulus policies?

Why does that sound so familiar? Hmmm....

The article released by UCLA goes on to quote Cole as saying...

"The fact that the Depression dragged on for years convinced generations of economists and policy-makers that capitalism could not be trusted to recover from depressions and that significant government intervention was required to achieve good outcomes," Cole said. "Ironically, our work shows that the recovery would have been very rapid had the government not intervened."

I don't know about you but I'm about over this economy now, and many economists believe we could start a recovery in as little as six months, assuming the Government doesn't get involved. But with Obama's New New Deal coming down the pike are we to assume at least a 7 year delay?

Isn't it Thomas Jefferson who was quoted as saying, "the scariest words you can ever hear are I'm from the Government, and I'm hear to Help"? Where is that Can Do Attitude? Have we really all turned into Ms. Johnson thinking Obama is going to pay our Mortages? Are we the Mother who thinks Obama should buy us 'Snacks'? Or are we the America that gets up and goes to work every day to provide for our family and are proud to say We've earned everything we have....

I just don't know anymore....but one thing I do know is that this isn't 1931. Americans feel empoverished if they only have a Playstation 3 and not a Xbox 360, so I don't know that the 'soup line' thing will be as popular for Obama as it was for FDR...I guess we're going to find out...

Obama's Busy First Week

Wow! I have really lousy timing. I've got a million things going on and I haven't had time to Blog, yet these past few days have delivered some of the most fascinating political stories in recent history. I hate to miss out on all the fun, so since I have a few short moments I thought the least I could do was to share with you some of my favorite stories of the past week...

Obama Vs. Eric Cantor

Last friday night, President Barack H. Obama held a meeting with house republicans to discuss the Republican alternative to the pork filled stimulus package produced by Obama and the Dems.

According to Charles Hurt at the NY Post , Obama "zinged" his Rival over the GOP's idea to increase the number of tax cuts in the Stimulus package and remove some of the unneccessary Pork:

In an exchange with Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) about the proposal, the president shot back: "I won," according to aides briefed on the meeting.

"I will trump you on that."

So much for the 'Age of Obama's' new bipartisan era. Lasted three whole days, that might be some kind of record in Washington, Bush played nice for years and yet they called him divisive. Obama tells minority whip in the house to get in line or be quiet, what does that make him? It should be interesting if so see if they hold The One to the same standards...

Fast forward to yesterdays passage of the $850-$1 Trillion, depending on how you look at it, "Stimulus" package in the House of Representatives. That pork filled tax payer funded behemouth that costs more than Iraq and Afghanistan combined, did Not get a Singe Vote from a Republican. As Nancy Pelosi stood smiling as she read the final Vote count 244-188, all 244 were Democrats. Democrats passed a bill knowing that is projected to benefit the Taxpayer with only 12 cents of every dollar. I was proud to be a Republican.

Eric Cantor's job is to 'whip' the republican members of the house to Vote in line with the desires of the Party, and judging by yesterday's results, He is the Right man for the Job. (Just a note: 11 Dems also voted against it) Find out how your Representative voted at the complete Roll Call here.

Obama Vs. Rush Limbaugh

This was the same meeting where President Obama told Republicans they should stop listening to Rush Limbaugh. Which turned out to be a bigger story initially. What with Obama basically stooping to school yard bullying tactics to silence Free Speech and all. As most of you know I am a huge Rush Fan, been listening for years. He's very good at what he does. But love him or hate him this is America, Damn it and He has the Right to Say whatever he Wants, and Anyone can choose to Listen or Not.

What Liberals continue to fail to realize is that the First Amendment Exists Not to protect crucifixes dipped in urine, as 'freedom of expression', but instead to allow Us as Citizens to Freely criticize our Governement with out Fear of Government Retribution. Now we've got President Obama attacking a private citizen and a businesss, simply because they disagree with him? Hmmm. Wonder what the Founding Fathers would think about that? I'm just saying...

To me it just shows Obama's immaturity and lack of understanding of his office as President. He is no longer just a slick talking used car sales men trying to pander for liberal votes, He is the Leader of the Free World. Rush Limbaugh should be the Least of his concerns. After watching Obama navigate through the muddy campaign waters, one thing is for sure, His attack on Limbaugh was not an accident....it was part of the strategy to silence any opposition.....

Supporting Rush is your Duty as a Citizen whether you agree with what he says or not, maybe more so if you disagree. If you don't stand up for those that Offend you the Most, do You really believe in Free Speech? I've written previously about "Understanding the Dangers of the Fairness Doctrine", and the Democrats desire to bring it back in order to silence opposition Conservative Voices.

Liberals have decried my concern for the "Censorship Doctrine" as hysteria and paranoia, but now the President is Telling All of Us, What we should and Should not listen to, which since we are talking about Political Talk Radio, means He is telling us what we should and should not think. Anyone else see a problem with this?

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee even started an online petition to in their words...

We need every grassroots Democrat to show Rush Limbaugh and all of the Republicans what they're up against if they start attacking President Obama and Democrats who are working to end the failed GOP policies of the last eight years.

The site requests that you leave a message that they would like to 'send' to Rush Limbaugh, all the messages are public so anyone who visits can read them, the site then promises to forward those on to El Rushbo himself. Well, Rush found out about this website then told his listeners they should log on and send him their messages as well. Rush encouraged his listeners to share what they thought of him and what he brings to the Political conversation. Take a moment and read through the comments , Rush's 20 million listeners are very loyal indeed, and also quite witty.

Taking on a man who has 3 hours of uninterupted airtime and a gift for conveing his message, is not necessarily in the best interest of Pres. Obama, as Pat Dollard Points out in his recent post "Limbaugh to Obama: You don't know who you are F**King With" (My apologies for the vulgarity in the title) His link is merely a cross post of a National Review Online Article, where the author Byron York, explains Obama's tactics as he was taught by reading Sal Alinky's Rules for Radicals, as it pertains to Obama's strategy with Rush Limbaugh and all he represents... “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

So Obama's picking fights with leaders of the RNC and the Conservative Movement? Hmmm. Either he is trying to establish Street Cred or he is really politically naive. Washington is a fickle town, and although their are 'activists' on each side of the aisle, the Lifers don't like those that Rock the Boat, regardless of party. So this could get very interesting.

Obama's Initiative: Free Terrorists, Kill Babies, Don't Ask Questions

Well you gotta hand it to Barack Obama. He is wasting no time quelching those rumors that he might Govern from the Center and with Transparency. Yesterday he signed several executive orders that should put that silly "centrist" theory to bed once and for all, and he let the Press know that when he says "transparency" what he really means is, we will tell you what we want you to know in a Press release (Don't worry we'll provide the Pictures, too!)

Apparently our New President, felt the two most urgent issues facing his administration were the release of Terrorists from "Club Gitmo" and funding foreign Abortions with Your tax money. At least we know where his priorities are.

Even the most Liberal among us, who have supported the measure to close Gitmo in Theory, they really liked accuse the Bush Administration of Torture policies, are now starting to question the Reality of the decision to release or redetain Terrorists inside the United States.

Even over at the Liberal safe haven the Huffington Post Obama's move raised some questions with contributor, Sam Stein, who wrote yesterday:

Yet Obama has already found that closing the prison is easier said than done. And if he fails, there'll be no shortage of Republicans to remind him that they told him so. On Wednesday, Senate Republicans voiced skepticism with the idea that the president would be able to break down a detention center housing what they claim most dangerous terrorists.....

......The real challenges, however, are not political but legal in nature. The president and his lawyers will have to maneuver deftly in order to remove 250 detainees from a facility in under a year. Federal criminal trials will commence, and in some cases individuals will be transferred to other prisons.

Ah yes, the million dollar question: Where will we put them? Will those that don't have enough 'evidence' against them be released? Or as the article goes on to question, Will the 'Double Jeopardy' laws be enacted making the Terrorists, untouchable by American Law? Oh that's just great.

The New York Times which should win some kind of Award from our Enemies, for it's efforts to close Gitmo, carried a story yesterday, about one Gitmo prisoner that had been released, that turned up running a Terrorist operation that was resposible a "deadly bombing" of the United States Embassy in Yemen. The Time seems surprised to learn that the Rehabilitation didn't work...

Oh Really? The guy is a Terrorist. Rehabilitation is only effective in breaking bad behaviors, that someone wants to Break. Alcoholics go to AA when they want to stop drinking, you can't force them to, it never works. Well a Terrorists, took that job for One reason only, to Kill Infidels. Telling them to stop won't work either.

For all those still celebrating, what our enemies will take as a sign of weakness. Just one more questioin for you.... if we Can't release them, where should we put them? Some Republicans are already starting to push back against the thought of housing America's Enemies in their home state....

"I don't want them in Texas," said Sen. John Cornyn, (R-TX). "I intend to write a letter saying, 'Don't send them here. And I would suspect there might be Senators from 50 states who say the same thing. I don't know."

Good News for you Racists, Bitter Clinging Pennsylvanians, John Murtha, the man who has never seen Congressional Pork that he didn't like, has already offered to Welcome the Terrorists to his district with Open Arms. Michelle Malkin dedicated her syndicated column today to "The John Murtha Jihadist Correctional Facility".

I guess there are a few Million dollar questions waiting to be answered, but Obama's not taking any of them....

As Politco reports, Obama "flashed irritation" when he felt he was being "Questioned" about his apparent hypocrisy in selecting Lobbyists for his cabinet, after Promising a "Lobbyist" free administration....

"Ahh, see," he said, "I came down here to visit. See this is what happens. I can't end up visiting with you guys and shaking hands if I'm going to get grilled every time I come down here."

So Three days in, What have we learned? Barack Obama has told our enemies that we are no longer serious about holding them accountable for their actions, babies around the world will be Aborted on the tax payer dime, and Our new President doesn't think he has to answer to anyone. It's going to be an interesting four years.

Obama's First Day at Work, My Last One

I kept telling myself last week, if I can get past Tuesday. Everything will return to relative normal. I responded to CBS's "Yes We Can" Monday, by watching old Steelers films on the NFL Network. I was doing good. Then last night as I was falling asleep, I said a special prayer for my Country and my Co-workers to survive the events of January 20th. For weeks rumors have swirled about My company's plan to 'restructure' for the new economy, and we got word via the New York press last week that today was D-Day. I did not survive the cuts. Just hours before Barack H. Obama was to be sworn in as the 44th President of the United States, I was "let go". Some times things happen that are just too strange to be coincidence.

Add to the already growing weirdness, I will remind you that, I wrote a blog during the run-up to the election explaining the economic and unemployment fall-out from an Obama victory. I didn't and don't want to go into my specific field, but know that my industry relies on small businesses. I wrote in direct response to the knowledge that Millions were about to blindly cast a Vote for the Man whose policies will cause many Americans to lose their jobs. It was written out of fear and frustration at the uniformed masses making the Decision for all of us. Want some real Irony? I called the blog, "Vote for Obama! Vote Yourself Out of a Job". So it's not like I didn't know this could happen....but I didn't Vote for Obama or his recession, I voted for Sarah Palin.

At about nine o'clock this morning, I realized my scheduled had just been cleared for the remainder of the day, so I came home and settled in to watch the "Immaculate Inauguration". One reporter referred to the crowd in DC as "a sea of humanity", keeping in line with the "Royal Wedding" theme the OLM was pushing. Obama recited the oath, with limited difficulties, only slightly showing nerves at this Historic Occasion. In as much as I disagree with pretty much everything Obama says and believes. I am so proud of my Country, for the people have voted for America's First Black President, color is no longer a hindrance. In fact in Obama's case, it seems to have actually helped. Let's keep things simple and call that progress.

Obama's speech was surprisingly dull, he's usually a little stronger, but the speech meandered, mixing soaring rhetoric with awkward pausing and campaign slogans. The crowd wasn't quite as loud as I would have imagined, but they did Boo and sing that "hey, Hey Goodbye" song when President Bush was announced, so that was embarrassing. They must not have heard, We're all supposed to get along now.... They are getting the Coronation of Obama that they demanded, but they can't even show some respect for the man, The One is replacing? Liberals still have No class, some things will never Change.

Whatever the planners intentions, the Music that stole the show. Performances by Yo-Yo Ma and Itzak Perlman brought the gravitas that separated Obama's Inauguration from Finals week on American Idol. However it was Elizabeth Alexander's poem that really set the tone. Or.Should.I. say.tone. Her 'off beat delivery whether a desired effect or not, was just half the problem. I couldn't decide if it was about socialism or slavery....she actually said people in America were "darning" their something or other. It was terr.i.ble.

Then came the highlight of the birth of the Age of Obama. The closing prayer provided by Rev. Jospeh Lowery which came to the close with the following as reported by the Drudge Report, my emphasis added:

'Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around... when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen. Say Amen'...

When he did the Amen part, the crowd responded in Kind. You could almost hear the white guilt being forgiven as they chanted "Amen". Apparently, Rev. Lowery doesn't realize when they open the back door of the limo for President Obama, it's a sign of respect not RACISM. If putting a black man in the White House isn't enough to end the unnecessary cries of Racism, What on earth would be?

Barack H. Obama campaigned on a message of "Change", but his followers never bothered to ask what kind of change, he meant to bring. I thought I knew what his "changes", would bring, but I was hoping with all my heart that I was wrong for the sake of my family and our country. As I wrote in the "Vote Youself Out of a Job", Elections have consequences. If the first day is any indication, Obama's presidency certainly isn't the Change I wanted.

January 19th, 2008, George W. Bush's last full day of office, will be remembered as an unusual day in History, sharing the day with Martin Luther King a fellow republican, and what one friend on twitter has deemed "Hopemas Eve" in reverance to The One's impending inauguaration.

Over the last few days I've shared with facts about the Bush administration's successes that have been convientiently overlooked by the OLM. Bush is not a perfect man, nor a perfect President. But he is one that has had much more success than failure, and America has benefitted from his leadership.

Well, facts are only part of the equation. Emotions are tied to the last eight years as well. Pictures being worth at least 1000 words and all, I've choosen a few images that capture how I will remember the Presidency of George W. Bush...

Facts Reveal: Bush Actually A Good President!

In yesterday's post I revealed why George W Bush has been a superior President to the Liberal hero Bill Clinton, on matters of Civil Rights, Protecting us from Terrorists, and the Military, regardless of what you might have heard. Today I'm taking a look at what Karl Rove would call the "kitchen table" issues.

The Economy

The OLM has dutifully carried the water for Democrats on the Economy for as long as I can remember. Always suggesting that Democrats are better on economic issues, even though History tells us otherwise. I'm guessing it has roots to the Democratic Myth about Franklin D. Roosevelt's salvation of our economy from Herbert Hoover's "Great Depression". The Truth is the Market crash which kicked off the Depression took place on Hoover's watch, FDR's "New Deal" deepened and extended the Depression for over 7 years according to UCLA study.

It was during Bill Clinton's 1992 campaign that "It's the Economy, Stupid" became the new rallying cry for Democrats and their PR wing in the OLM. Well as a Tax Payer, I want a government that takes less of My money by way of IRS extortion. The rest will take care of itself.

Even in this most recent election, Liberals spoke longingly of the Days of the Clinton Economy. You know the one boosted by the Tech Bubble and faulty accounting that still had a higher unemployment figures than George W Bush's Administration? When W. was sworn into office in January of 2001, he inherited Bill Clinton's Recession. Young President Bush immediatley called for taxpayer relief in the form of the Now famous, "Bush Tax Cuts", to stimulate the economy.

Liberals love to say that Bush's Tax Cuts only benefited the Rich. Once again those pesky facts rebuff that claim.....

Education
Contrary to popular belief, George W. Bush wanted to be an 'education president'. One of his first major initiatives as a New president was to tackling our failing educational system. Mirror his plan after his successful program in Texas which required accountability for teachers and students. No Child Left Behind was crafted in collaboration with Ted Kennedy himself. Initially supported by Liberals, but was later decried as being ineffective and under funded, which is code for the Teacher's Union doesn't like it.

Even the Washington Post was forced to admit there were many "Myths" being circulated about No Child Left Behind including the one about it being "underfunded". As the Post points out with a 40% increase in Educational spending there are some other questions Critics should be asking...

Instead of demanding more money for No Child Left Behind, critics should ask why states and local communities get such dismal returns on the half-trillion dollars, or nearly $10,000 per student, that they already spend on primary and secondary education every year.

Some quick facts about No Child Left Behind from the Department of Education:

More progress was made by nine-year-olds in reading in the last five years than in the previous 28 years combined.

America's nine-year-olds posted the best scores in reading (since 1971) and math (since 1973) in the history of the report.

America's 13-year-olds earned the highest math scores the test ever recorded.

Reading and math scores for African American and Hispanic nine-year-olds reached an all-time high.

Achievement gaps in reading and math between white and African American nine-year-olds and between white and Hispanic nine-year-olds are at an all-time low.

Forty-three states and the District of Columbia either improved academically or held steady in all categories (fourth- and eighth-grade reading and fourth- and eighth-grade math).

That is George W. Bush's legacy on education. He took action and Achieved measurable results. Other than throwing money at the problem, What exactly was Clinton's Education Policy, again? In Clinton's 'memoir' "My Life" ...

I proposed a large package of education reforms, arguing that we should change the way we spend the more than $15 billion a year of education aid to ‘support what works and stop supporting what doesn’t work,’ by requiring states to end social promotion, turn around failing schools or shut them down.

Oh Really? Anyone else remember this "Accountability" in Clinton's policies? There certainly aren't any Programs to back it up. Trust me I googled and googled and googled. The end of "Social Promotion" came with Bush's "No Child Left Behind".

Ethics

Hysterical liberals have thrown out words like "Haliburton", "Enron" and "War Crimes" for the last eight years in attempt to cast doubt on the Character of George W. Bush. They've concocted conspiracy filled theories blaming Bush for everything from Global Warming to 9/11. Those people should probably just go ahead an move to Cuba, but they won't so I thought I'd take the time to remind people what the last Democratic President did to "restore diginity and respect" to the Office.

And in as much that we've heard all these crazy accusations against President Bush, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, Bill Clinton was actually Impeached. Trust me, in the current political climate, if Bush had really done anything wrong, no matter how small the offense, the Liberals would have forced an Impeachment hearing. The mere lack of a prosecution in this case, proves Bush is probably the most ethical President in our History.

Shocker! Bush Not the Worst US President

With Tuesday's looming immaculate inauguration, we will see the conclusion of the Presidency of George W. Bush. A man maligned by the media from the beginning of his first term when they demanded recounts until he won then called it a "stolen election". To the final days of his second term, when Everyone is trying to define the Presidency of W as one of, if not 'the worst in history'. Since those suffering from Bush Derangement syndrome are unable to look past their own biases to see the truth about W. I thought I would make it easier, by putting it into terms they could understand, I'll compare him to Bill Clinton.

Civil Rights
While the Liberals spent the last 8 years complaining about George W. Bush's intentions to misuse the "Patriot Act" to listen into private conversations, not one case of abuse has ever been documented. I would get into the Gitmo media generated "controversy", but they are not American Citizens, they are Foreign Terrorists who want us dead. If a little water boarding save thousands of American Lives, I'm 100% okay with it.

Meanwhile, during the Clinton administration Americans in Waco Texas were burned to death in their homes by agencies of the Government. And who could forget little Elian Gonzalez, who was taken from his family in the middle of the night by government representatives strapped with AK47s.

Both moves authorized by Clinton's Attorney General, Janet Reno.

Bush as Commander in Chief led the liberation of over 50 Million Iraqis and because of Bush's decision to overthrow the Taliban, Afghan women and girls are reclaiming their place in society, through schools, careers and politics.

Clinton was so afraid to stand up for human rights that he either ignored the situation all together (Rwanda) or choose a campaign of half-measures (Bosnia). Clinton flawed foreign policy also included helping to promote Yassar Arafat to the head of the Palestinian State. So as the Wall Street Journal put it: "Bush Destroyed a Dictator. Clinton installed one."
No political kidnappings, or attacking of Private Citizens in their home under the Bush Administration, and millions of people in the Middle east experiencing freedom for the first time in generations. I think Bush has the clear advantage in this area.

Terrorism and National Security

One can only imagine Bill Clinton's reasoning's for ignoring the numerous terrorist attacks during his presidency. We all know he thought of it as a legal matter, not a military one but how did he miss it all. Clinton's Policy on Terrorism went something like this: What? I'm sorry did you say Terrorism, isn't that those people who took down a plane in Scotland in the 80's. Oh all those bombings overseas, no those are totally 'isolated incidents' and have no connection to a "network" or a "Base". Osama Bin Who? Oh no I've polled the issue and the American public doesn't even know who he is, so I don't need to take him into custody. Stop bugging me about that guy, I already told you once. I don't want him.

Other than helping the original Terrorist Arafat gain power in Palestine, in can be argued that Clinton is the reason Bin Laden became the Most dangerous Terrorist in the World. It's fairly well documented that Osama Bin Laden was emboldened by Clinton's withdrawal of troops in Somalia after the "Black Hawk Down" . Bin Laden saw the removal of troops as a weakness that he could exploit. Clinton has made several attempt to re-write History, thankfully lots of people still remember what really happened in Somalia. The incidents in Mogadishu occured in 1993, Clinton was given his first chance to capture Bin Laden in 1996 according to the man who set up the talks. That is five full years before 9/11, four years prior to the USS Cole and two years prior to the bombing of our troops in Kenya. You do the math, thousands of Americans lost their lives because Bill Clinton failed to remove Bin Laden from the Sudan.

It was during the Clinton Administration that Jamie Gorelick constructed her famous "wall of separation" between intelligence agencies, something that no matter how many times I hear about it, I am still enraged. If the media had correctly reported on Terrorism during Clinton's tenure, he would be known as the President that held us down and let us get our ass kicked.

In stark contrast, George W. Bush responded to the attacks on 9/11 with immediate and devastating force against Al-Queda and the Taliban in Afghanistan. He has taken the fight to the Enemies of America, and has remained steadfast in his goal of securing Americas interests, even when the fickle public had long forgotten the consequences of ignoring enemies in foreign lands.

Bush's declaration to go after any State that was a sponsor of Terrorism, was as historical as it was effective. After 9/11 the Bush Administration formed the Homeland Security Department, to open the lines of communications, closed during the Clinton Administration, between intelligence agencies to prevent further attacks. Under Bush's watch the United States has enjoyed 7 years of uninterrupted security. This is not a coincidence.

Watch a true Leader in Action:

Say what you want about W's ability to communicate, but when he said "I Can Hear You, the Rest of the World hears you, and the People who knocked these buildings down will Hear all of us soon..." Everyone knew what he meant.

The Military

It's well documented that Clinton downsized the Military during his 8 years at the helm. He reduced funding and troop numbers from 1993-2000, leaving Bush with a depleted military at the start of his term.

From my own personal experiences and anecdotal evidence provided by my in laws, Pres. Clinton was terrible commander in Chief. But you don't have to take my word for it, there are a number of studies and facts that clear things right up.

Earlier this week the Gateway Pundit reported:

The Bush-bashers still feign outrage that the US lost 4,226 heroes liberating Iraq.
Of course, they weren't too upset about military losses when the Clinton's were in charge.

Numbers from Iraq Coalition Casualties and CRS report to Congress

As reported at DiscovertheNetworks.org During the Clinton Administration,

Of the 305,000 employees removed from the federal payroll, 286,000 (or 90%) were military cuts.The statistics for America's defense during the Clinton years reveal the deep-seated animosity of the administration toward those who served in the military. The Army was cut from 18 divisions to 12. The Navy was reduced from 546 ships to 380. Air Force flight squadrons were cut from 76 to 50"

One of the first things Bush did when he became President was to ask for an increase in pay and benefits for Military personnel, as the Government Executive reported back in February of 2001:

As anticipated, President Bush Monday pledged a $1.4 billion pay raise for military personnel next year in a move to improve military readiness and lift morale.

Keep in mind this was over seven months prior to 9/11. It was literally one of the first acts of his young presidency. He knew Clinton's military wasn't going to cut in the new century.

Time For Me To Put Down the Diet Pepsi

I can no longer deny it. I am going to have to stop drinking Diet Pepsi. When the I first spotted the newest Pepsi logo, at first I thought, It looks like the Obama symbol. Followed immediately by the next thought...It just looks like the Obama symbol, to me because I am a Right Wing Nut Job. Normal people probably didn't even notice they changed logos, it was so subtle. I told myself this for about a month after the new logo was introduced, sometime around election day. Coincidence, I told myself. And Pepsi owned the red/blue half circle look first, Right? Maybe Barack Obama stole it from them? I know I was grasping....

The second time I saw the New Pepsi logo I thought it WAS the Obama symbol. On New Year's Day, as I recovered from the previous night's celebration, I was watching Fox and Friends. On the set, Clayton and the pretty blond one that fills in for Gretchen occasionally, played with a few left over balloons from the night before. The balloons were huge and had words written on them. Kinda like this...

One said "Joy" and one said "hope". But they didn't say Joy and Hope they said J-obamasymbol-l and H-obamasymbol-pe. I thought only in NYC do they drop Obama balloons. Thus I spent the next few moments cursing at the television. Then I thought, why are they dropping Obama balloons, don't they know the campaign's over, He Won. At this point I yelled to my husband, "They found something to spend the extra campaign money on...guess they had to use the money by the end of 2008." I found myself very amusing. I was less amused a few days later, however,after watching one of their new hippie dippie commercials featuring just those words, spelled just that way. I realized it was The New Pepsi logo on those Balloons. I later read online were part of Pepsi's Ode to Joy 09campaign. I choose to think Pepsi was just trying to cheer everybody up, it's been a rough couple of months...I continued to purchase Diet Pepsi as usual.

I've come under fire recently from conservative friends who know about my addiction to Diet Pepsi. "How do you look into your refrigerator, and just see All of them?" One asked about my 24 pack a week habit. I defended Pepsi, saying changing a logo is not something you do lightly and it was probably in design long before Obama created the creepiest symbol in this new century. And I would say, "it's not really that much different than the old logo." But secretly I wondered... Is Pepsi trying to 'draft' off of Obama's popularity with the most sot after demographic in all of America 18-34 year olds? Or is Pepsi running a PR campaign for Barack Obama?

But today, I came across something via a friend on twitter, that well, let's just say I think I just bought my last Diet Pepsi.

Isn't it just the Awesomest! Obama's going to "Refresh the Nation"! OMG! Does anyone remember Pepsi asking us to write President Bush after 9/11 and Thank him for lifting this Nation out of the ashes? But this guy hasn't even taken office yet and they have rebranded their Primary product lines with HIS symbol. This is too much. Even for me. (Is there a 12 step program for Diet Pepsi?) I have a few left in the fridge, so I'm sitting here drinking one now, I've put it in a glass, so as to not have to look directly into the symbol.

Let me just say, I think it's brilliant marketing by Pepsi and it might even work for them. Obama followers will buy anything with his face on it, so why not "The Symbol". Lord knows there are enough of them to shift market share. So it's probably a good move for Pepsi. I just can't support it. So alas, I must stop the denial and put down the Diet Pepsi. Some are supporting a boycott, according to The Advocate, the American Family Association was already boycotting Pepsi for donations to a gay cause. Me, I'm not much for mass boycotting. I'm way too much of a Fan of Individual Choice to participate in mass anything. I'm a firm believer in voting with your money on a daily basis, It's the American Way. Everybody gets to make a Choice and this member of the old "New Generation" will be choosing to drink Water until Pepsi changes the logo or I run out of Willpower.

2009: The Year of Indicted Democrats? Mayor Adds to the Growing List

Mayor of Baltimore, Shelia Dixon a Democrat, was indicted yesterday on charges of Perjury, theft and misconduct surrounding Gift Cards and donations intended for "needy families" but that were allegedly found to be used by the Mayor for personal purchases according to the Baltimore Sun. The Sun also point out that Dixon, is "the city's first sitting mayor to be criminally indicted." In Baltimore, that is a Real achievment. Charm City's most shining moment prior was whenHBO gave us "the Wire". It was a smash hit with its loyal following due to the gritty true to life portrayal of the corruption and devastion that flowed throughout City Hall. Now I'm just waiting to hear that Dixon took a meeting with "Stringer Bell".

But her supporters and the local media are suggesting, that since the prosecutors were unable to provide enough evidence to indict on charges of Bribery, it's really not a big deal.

In a statement published the Baltimore Sun

Del. Maggie L. McIntosh, a Baltimore Democrat and influential leader in Annapolis, said, "I did note that there was no charge that she was in any way bribed. ... We now need to hear her side of the case."

I mean what's a little violation of public trust among friends?

The woman is accused of stealing gift cards intended for Poor Kids, as in they were found at her house. I understand the innocent until proven guilty argument. But as a high ranking public Servant, she shouldn't put herself in a position to attract suspicion. But if the Gift cards were the first time her name had come up in a corruption investigation, I might have been a little less likely to grab my torch, however just this week, Mayor Dixon's ex-boyfriend, Baltimore Developer,, Ronald Lipscomb was formerly charged with Bribing City Council member, Helen Holton with $12,500 worth of campaign contiributions in return for a tax break for one of his development projects. development projects.

Apparently it doesn't really matter which poltical party she belongs to anyway, as CNN shows us here in this shining example of what liberals consider "objective" reporting, "it's just very disappointing..."

During a breaking news brief on Friday’s Newsroom program, CNN anchor Kyra Phillips failed to identify the party affiliation of Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon, a Democrat, who earlier in the day had been indicted on 12 counts related to a corruption probe by Maryland state officials. She did identify Dixon as “the first woman to serve as the city’s mayor” and “the first African-American female to serve as that city’s mayor.”

Democrats and Corruption are as Forrest Gump would say "Like Peas and Carrots", so much so that Boycottliberalism.com has created a page documenting each offense. When you have time read the whole list. Even rabid democratic mouthpiece, James Carville has already predicted in article for CNN, that 2009 will just continue the Scandal streak the Dems have been on since early 2008...

The Democratic Party has had a recent run of corruption and sex scandals. Mathematicians say that there are no such things as streaks and that the last event has nothing to do with the next. The only people who disagree are crapshooters and political operatives. Since I am both, I firmly believe that there are streaks and that political scandals happen in clusters....

.....The current streak, however removed from President-elect Barack Obama, doesn't bode well for Democrats in 2009.

My Question to James Carville: Which Scandals are you talking about? The one involving the Senator from Countrywide, Christopher Dodd(D-CT)? Maybe you were thinking of Democratic Govenor Elliot Spitzer, that certainly involved sex. Certainly he could have been talking about the Numerous Democrats involved with the Blago case. But maybe, Mr. Carville was referring to the federal investigation into Barack Obama's former cabinet Nominee, Bill Richardson, that forced him to withdraw his bid for Sec. of Commerce this week. Maybe he was giving us a hint of things to come....

The 46 has been doing an in depth series on what he calls the "BlackBox Scandal" involving Richardson. But as The 46 points outin an entry earlier this week, this Scandal has tenacles that could reach all the way to Pennsylvania, specifically Governor Ed Rendell.

The pattern for CDR and is to pour campaign donations into Democrats across this country. In exchange they receive sweet heart deals from the government in order to carry out their rather opaque financial transaction, now we know David Rubin of CDR worked on Rendell's transition and donated over 10,000's of thousands of dollars to Rendell's campaign to win the governorship,

Carville can call it whatever he'd like, but He Knows that scandalous Democrats have been capturing Headlines, for at least a year. The difference of course is how the media covers the Story. When Dems are being "naughty' the OLM, finds something else to talk about. But if a Repbulican says "Macaca" that's worthy of Five Weeks worth of coverage. It's the way of the Liberal World. On July 10th, 2008, 12 Democrats were indicted on Conspiracy Charges related to a scandal know as "BonusGate".

After a 17 month probe, two state grand juries, Harrisburg and Pittsburgh, have indicted 12 Democrats for alleged illegal activities and according to prosecutors, more charges are expected in what they are calling a "widespread" conspiracy within the Pennsylvania Democratic caucus to use tax payer funds to finance political activities.

Can you imagine the Outrage these were Republicans? I can already see the MSNBC's "CountDown to Conviction Clock" on the corner of the screen. But since they had a "D" beside their name, the story was brushed under the rug by the OLM, thus ignored by the American public.

Maybe, Carville is right and 2009 will be the Year of the Democratic Scandal, but if it is, I have a feeling it will be because of something posted on The Drudge Report, not something uncovered by the OLM.

Action Alert: Support Demint and Co. on "Broadcaster Freedom Act"

Apparently some of those in Congress still understand the need to protect Free Speech. As I've written before, the Democrats have expressed interest eliminating Conservative Voices, in "Understanding the Dangers of the UnFairness Doctrine", a response to the growing support from Liberals to silence Talk Radio Well fortunately there are still a few Good Guys in DC, and they are doing everything they can to stop this blatant infringment of Conservative's First Amendment Rights.

Liberals and Democrats in Congress have suggested that Republicans were being "paranoid" about the impending return of the Fairness Doctrine. Just yesterday there was a piece in the Huffington Post about our "Paranoia Festival". Reminds me of that old bumper sticker, "Just because you are Paranoid, Doesn't mean they are Not out to Get you". With a Democratic Controlled Congress and White House, whose party leaders have come out publicly to support the Fairness Doctrine, it sounds to me like they are Out to Get Us. Whether we are Paranoid about it or not.

Well now we can put an end to that Paranoia. The Democrats can assure us all that they have no interest in returning to the Fairness Doctrine. They can support the "Broadcasters Freedom Act" introduced by several Republican members of Congress today. The bill is aimed at protecting the precious right of Free Speech. Something Jim DeMint has been on record as supporting since July of 2007.

January 7, 2009 - WASHINGTON, D.C - In an effort to prevent Democrats from suppressing the right to free speech for talk radio and other broadcasters, today Congressman Mike Pence (R-Indiana), chairman of the House Republican Conference, Congressman Greg Walden (R-Oregon), Senator Jim DeMint (R-South Carolina), chairman of the Senate Steering Committee, and Senator John Thune (R-South Dakota), Vice Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, introduced the Broadcaster Freedom Act of 2009 (S. 34 in the Senate, bill number pending in the House). The bill would prevent the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) from reinstating the Fairness Doctrine, which would suppress free speech by requiring the government to monitor political views and decide what constitutes fair political discourse.

“The time has come to do away with the Fairness Doctrine once and for all,” said Congressman Pence. “Over the past few months, some of the most powerful Democrats in Congress have made their intentions to restore this Depression-era regulation clear. However, bringing back the Fairness Doctrine would amount to government control over political views expressed on the public airwaves. It is dangerous to suggest that the government should be in the business of rationing free speech.

The Press Release goes on to explain the history of the Fairness Doctrine, and the Democrats repeated attempts to bring it back.

The Fairness Doctrine was implemented by the FCC in 1949 in an attempt to ensure balanced and fair coverage of controversial subject matter by broadcasters. In 1985, the FCC determined that the Fairness Doctrine was no longer necessary due to the emergence of a “multiplicity of voices in the marketplace.” The FCC was also of the view that the Fairness Doctrine may have violated the First Amendment. In a 1987 case, the courts declared that the doctrine was not mandated by Congress and the FCC did not have to continue to enforce it. Twice, Congress has passed legislation restoring the Fairness Doctrine, but Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush vetoed the bills.

These are Our warriors, they are outnumbered and Outgunned in Washington, but as we found out during the Bailout Mania, when America is paying attention, Congress gets a little more concerned about how things "Look" to the public. If we take our eye off of them for a minute, they've got their grubby little hands back in the Cookie Jar.

Hats off to the members of Congress who are supporting this Bill. These guys get it. We can play a vital role in the successful passage of this Bill, just by making a few phone calls, sending a few e-mails or maybe even writing one of those things that goes into an envelope and requires a 42 cent sticker to get there. Ann Coulter's "Guilty" Causing Controversy Already?

The Drudge Report has a screaming Headline that "NBC BANS COULTER FOR LIFE", assuming it's true, Ann Coulter should send the folks over at the Peacock Network a nice fruit basket for all the free publicity she's about to have bestowed upon her. See the Divine Ms. Coulter has a new book coming out this week, it's said to be a Crucifixion of the OLM and their well documented liberal bias. Do you know what it's called? "Guilty" NBC must not have realized She was talking about them, when they booked her first Broadcast interview. The advanced copy must have cleared things right up.

I for one, can't wait to get my hands on it, her last book "If Democrats had any brains, They'd be Republicans" was more of a compilation of quotes and columns. While I enjoyed the read, it didn't hold a candle to what I consider her Masterpiece, "Godless". As a huge fan of Ann Coulter's writing, I can only imagine what little nuggets she has dug up on Lexus Nexus search this time.

Her milder critics have called her Harsh or Brash, maybe, but that's what makes her writing so interesting. No concessions, where you give credit to the other side just to be taken seriously. Coulter doesn't play by those rules, instead She puts her Stiletto heels on Liberals' jugulars, then firmly presses down. You've got to admire her style.

Liberals despise Ann Coulter usually before ever having read a word she has written. In fact I would venture to say that 95% of Ann Coulter's 'critics' have Never read one of her columns, let alone one of her books. Her "Vicious" persona is just perpetuated by the OLM. When new friends first see the Coulter section of my living room library, even those who lean to the Right, they are forced to comment. Or more accurately, Question. As in, "Have you read all of Her books?" The answer of course is yes, but honestly she's only published a handful of books. (It's not like I've got the entire Dean Koontz collection.)

Liberals hate Ann Coulter for many of the same reasons they reacted so strongly to Sarah Palin, Coulter is intelligent, successful and the High Holy of Liberal Sins...Pretty. Liberals women especially hate the likes of Coulter. They would prefer women to be mousy, victimized and homely, it better suits their agenda. Coulter represents everything they have fought against their entire lives. She's a catholic, gun loving Barbie Doll. She's even said that she likes to annoy liberals by posing on the cover of her books, smiling wearing a black evening gown. Did I mention she's funny?

For those of you who have never had the pleasure of reading one of Ms. Coulter's books, one thing you need to know: You may not like what she is saying, you may not like how she says it, but you can't argue with her research. The girl sources everything. It's one of the reason I enjoy her books so much, they lead you to other information sources. But it's her cutting Wit that Fans and critics alike find themselves remembering...If you've seen her in an interview, you know she's quick on her feet, imagine what she can do when she puts it down on paper.

Honestly, how can you not Love this woman? That's good stuff and truly just the tip of the iceberg. But Liberals have No sense of humor. So it's really not surprising they don't get it. What surprises me is that with Television ratings in the tank across the board, NBC decided to dump a draw like Ann Coulter. It won't silence her, but it will make a trip to the Today show unnecessary for other Authors, once "Guilty" goes to the top of the Best Seller list.

Reflection, Resolutions and Moving Forward in 2009

After taking some time off from my day job and blogging over the Christmas Holiday, I find myself a bit introspective going into this New Year. Looking back on 2008, it was a year of mixed blessings. As a Conservative, I survived "Obama-Mania", by friends, colleagues and the Obama Loving Media (OLM). The onslaught of Obamism taught me a bit about others and myself. Turns out even if "Everyone else is doing it"...If I disagree with it, I'm Out. Good to know. I never felt like much of a Sheep, but somehow now I feel like I have proof. I learned a little about my friends, and how even though they don't 'follow' politics, their ears perked up this time around on Both sides of the political spectrum.

I myself had something of a Political "Awakening" in 2008. As I've said before I have followed politics for years, and was quite active at different points in my life, but with the introduction of Sarah Palin, and the ensuing outbreak of "Palin Derangement Syndrome", I was motivated to start this Blog. For that I am forever Grateful to the Obama Followers. Writing and Politics have always been a passion,but without the constant barrage of insults against everything I believe by the media and colleagues, I don't know if I would have been motivated to publish WithBias. Thank you, Liberals and the Uniformed, for giving me the push I needed to "Let My Voice Be Heard"....

A few days ago I asked readers to send me their New Year's Resolutions, I was surprised at how Many responses I received. Thanks to all who shared your plan with me. Some of you contacted me through e-mail, some through comments, and others through Twitter.

What first struck me, while reading through the Resolutions was most people want the same things from life regardless of where they live or how old they are or how much money they make. Most of the Resolutions I received, are ones that I strive to achieve this year as well, in fact I've adopted many as my own....

Several wrote that they wanted to live healthier in 2009. Something most Americans can appreciate. Some of you are pledging to join a gym, quit smoking or changing your diet. For those about to "Diet" We salute you.
Some were pretty vague, saying only they 'wanted to lose weight'. Others more specific, one reader sent me his plan "to lose two pounds a week", a lofty yet achievable goal. I wish you all the best and will be joining you on your journey to a healthy lifestyle. I hope that you will all keep me posted on your progress throughout the year.

Others will be striving to be "kinder to their fellow man" as one reader told me or more simply put by friend on twitter "to be nicer to people". While I can agree with the sentiment, James Agate summed up my thoughts more appropriately when he said "New Year's Resolution: To tolerate fools more gladly, provided this does not encourage them to take up more of my time."

Another popular topic amongst the Resolutions was Spirituality. Many said they were returning to their Church or becoming more faithful in their service to God. A fellow blogger and friend, has promised to "read the Bible" everyday and more effectively understand it's teachings. It's heartening to see so many turning to God during these troubled times. Thinking of the events of the past year, it brings to mind that old adage..The Lord works in Mysterious ways. While I am an unwavering Christian, I do not attend services as regularly as I should. I can make all the excuses that I'd like, however the Truth is... I just need to get my Butt into Church more often. The election of Obama may not actually signal the Apocalypse, but why take any Chances? Mysterious ways, indeed.

Family was top of mind for many of you. Whether it was spending more time at home or off-line, many promised this year, they would make their loved ones a priority. Some are just in the planning stages, like my friend over at Rightklik, who has told us that a baby in is the works for 2009. While I'm not ready to jump on the Breeding bandwagon, yet. I am planning more trips home to visit my family in Pennsylvania this year. When the world seemingly goes Mad around you, it's important to focus on what really matters and even if they drive you crazy during the Holidays, for most of us, That's Family.

Not surprisingly, many respondents talked about Politics. More specifically what they'd like to see change in 2009 after what some saw as a Disastrous 2008. Many voiced complaints and hopes for the Republican National Committee, some of which may be addressed by the election of the New Chairperson in the next few weeks. My friend, Robert who writes over at The 46 said he would to "See the GOP make some gains in 2009 as groundwork for major gains in 2010." Which brings me to my point of all these Resolutions, whether Political or Personal, they require action on the part of person making the declaration.

Twenty pounds won't magically melt off my carcass, nor will the Pastor start giving sermons in my living room, I'm going to have to do something in order to achieve my goals. Republicans find themselves in the same position. The RNC won't turn into the "Grand Old Party" without some effort on the part of Republicans themselves. Good News is that many Conservatives didn't wait for New Year's to Resolve to make a difference. Immediately after the election, social networking sites sprung up and groups formed creating a "Virtual Conservative Think Tank" on line. One of these groups, Rebuild the Party, is determined to overhaul the RNC with a Grassroots approach. I like their style, so I signed up. Once I started reading all the ideas and initiatives being put forth I was inspired to get more involved.

So I started a group for Conservative Bloggers, a place for those so inclined, to share ideas and blog addresses. With in weeks, it became apparent we had an eclectic growing group of motivated idealists and I wanted to find a way to share these ideas with a larger audience. That's when the idea for ChargingElephants was born. It's a new site that is scheduled to go "Live" on January 5th, and will feature Conservative Voices from around the Blogasphere. Just my small contribution to the cause, but I'm hoping to create a place for our ideas to be shared, heard and discussed. Each writer bringing their own 'version' of Conservatism to the table. It's a tiny step in the process of Turning our Party and this Great Nation of ours around. But it is a Step, and I'm not done yet. If you think it's time to Turn those Resolutions into Real Solutions...Now is the time to Act. (Check out my the links on the sidebar for ideas!)

You know Conservatives have come a long way in a short while, from Rebuild The Party , to Grassfire to the #tcot group on Twitter. Conservatives are getting organized and as Robert pointed out, just in time. 2010 is just around the corner.

2008 The Year Journalism Died.

It's been said that 2008 was the year that Journalism died. It's been on life support for years, but the Whitewashing and flat out campaigning for Barack Obama, pulled the plug on a Once great profession. Journalist were charged with Informing the Public, and keeping an eye on Tax Payer Dollars back in the day...Obviously that was then. This is now... All dreaming of being the next Woodward, today's "Journalists" leak Military Secrets, and do "in depth" investigative reporting on places they've never been, or interviews that never took place. You can argue over when Journalism kicked the bucket, but today the coffin was lowered into the ground.

America's most intellectually honest News man, Brit Hume delivered his last "Special Report". Hume has been named, Super important Political Correspondent or some such Title at Fox News but will no longer be doing nightly broadcasts. This is a sad day for me. Brit Hume was who I counted on to deliver the news with that smile that let you know he thinks the people in Washington on both sides of the Aisle are a little silly at times. Britt won awards for his coverage of the first gulf war before joining Fox News in 1995.

My Favorite News segment of all time is the "Political Grapevine" what Brit Hume calls the most "fascinating two minutes of television". Delivered with smirk, Hume reports stories that leave you shaking your head, but wanting to know more. Over the years, Brit Hume looked over his glasses at more than one correspondent, with a tilt and a nod to indicate what ever they were saying...He wasn't buying it. As a viewer you always had the sense that Brit was interested in the truth, not just what the PR people were saying. Whatever the issue effecting America, Brit Hume always seemed to actually care and he asked Questions. In a sea of yellow journalism, Brit Hume was always there with the Life preserver of common sense. Bret Bair, his named successor, has some impossibly big shoes to fill, I hope he's up to the challenge.

Brit Hume Delivered the News "Fair, Balanced and Unafraid" as he so often said with that knowing smile. I only wish there were more in his profession that felt the same way...The Media Research Center has delivered their 21st Annual Awards for the Year's Worst Reporting. Chris Matthew's won "Quote of the Year" with is tingling leg reaction to Barack Obama. As famous as this quote has become I was shocked to see the second half of it....

Co-anchor Chris Matthews: “I have to tell you, you know, it’s part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Barack Obama’s speech. My — I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don’t have that too often.

Obama Names Hyde Park Neighbor as Sec. of Education

So we heard from the imaginary "Office of the President Elect" today. And I've got to tell you Barack Obama has No Shame. None. Did he call a Press Conference to address the growing concern about the involvement of his staff in the Blago pay to play scheme? No you'll have to wait another Two weeks to find out what that 'internal investigation' uncovered. Today Barack Obama announced his pick for Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan. I'm sure it's a coincidence that Duncan just happens to be from Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood, You know the same neighborhood where Obama lives along with his other Famous neighbors....

One of the most common themes in all of the articles I've read is that Duncan is an outstanding Basketball Player, something Obama addressed during his Press Conference today...

President Elect Obama assures us:"I did not select Arne because he's one of the best basketball players I know. Although I will say that I think we are putting together the best basketball-playing Cabinet -- in American history. And I think that is -- that is worth noting." So if I've got this right, our Country is going to hell in a hand basket, but if North Korea challenges us to a pick up game, We will Crush them? Awesome.

Arne Duncan may be the Best Chicago has to offer, but he's still from Chicago. Duncan was selected by Chicago Mayor Richard Daily for his post as CEO of Chicago Public Schools in 2000. They don't call it Daily's Machine for Nothing, one day you're running a school system with a 50 percent graduation rate and over 30 violent deaths per year, Next day You're the United States Secretary of Education. While Duncan has been employed by Chicago Public Schools since 1998 he has never taught a classroom. The Hyde Park native first got involved in Education 'reform' in 1992 when he started working on the Ariel Education Initiative after he'd given up his career in Professional Basketball. Apparently Obama thinks Duncan's grasp of the educational system is Good enough for Your family....but not necessarily good enough for the Obama girls.

Despite their friendship, the Obamas chose not to send their daughters to Chicago public schools. Instead, they enrolled them in the private University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, where Duncan went to school as a child. The Obamas have defended their decision to send their daughters to private school, saying they are doing what's best for them.

I'm sorry I've been trying to avoid writing anything related to the Cabinet selections or the possible "future administration" of Barack Obama. But this latest display of Nepotism by The One has pushed me over the edge. The Chicago Way has come to Washington, a place that needed more Scoundrels like New York City needs more Rats.

It's being widely reported that Rahm Emanuel or "Rahmbo" as he's know in political circles, Obama's choice for Chief of staff, had contact with Blago's people about filling the senate seat. With all this flurry around in the News, one would think Obama would want to answer the questions and move on, but something tell me he can't as John Batchelor writes at his blog:

What is most annoying is how surprised I am with Barack Obama's brazen arrogance. I don't know why I'd be shocked when the man allowed himself to be referred to as "the Messiah" for over a year. ATF Confirms Arson at Sarah Palin's Church

Previously labeled "Suspicious" the Fire at Sarah Palin's home Church in Wasilla was officially ruled an Arson today.

Federal ATF says accelerant poured on church

MAT-SU–The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said an accelerant had been poured on and around the outside of the Wasilla Bible Church in multiple places, including the entrances and exits, according to an ATF news release today.

Evidence that could help determine the type of accelerant that was recovered from the fire scene is being examined by the state crime lab. Results could be returned within two weeks.

On Friday Dec. 12, when the fire started five women were inside the 35,314 square-foot church on Nicola Ave. behind Burchell High School. Responders were dispatched at about 9:40 p.m. Friday. Temperatures were below zero. No one was injured. One woman said their vehicles were plainly visible near the main adult entrance where fire began.

In a separate article the Anchorage Daily Times reports that Wasilla Bible Church is home to several prominent Alaskans not that They have any idea what the Motive for the Crime is yet...

The church, just off the Parks Highway on the western edge of town, conducts Sunday services attracting up to 1,000 people. Church members include many well-known Valley residents, including Palin, Rep. Wes Keller, R-Wasilla, and Rep. Carl Gatto, R-Palmer.

Palin's ties to the church have sparked widespread speculation about whether the person who lit the fire was motivated by that connection. However, Central Mat-Su Fire Department Chief James Steele said that idea remains in the realm of pure speculation.

"At this point, there is no information that we have that even points in that direction," he said.

Arson Supected in Fire At Sarah Palin's Church

Seriously? Now someone has set Fire to Sarah Palin's Church...

The Anchorage Daily News reported a suspicious fire at the Wasilla Bible Church, the home church of Governor Palin. It happened Friday night, while some ladies were making crafts in the basement there are some reports of children possibly being inside as well. And someone set Fire to the place... Police are not officialing saying that it is Arson at this point, but Church Pastor Larry Koone was quoted in the ADN as saying "The possibilities are so wide and variable," he said. "Someone intentionally did it, but we don't know who and why."

I don't know why either...but I have some ideas...

Sarah Palin is obviously thinking the same thing, her office released the following statement today....

"Gov. Palin stopped by the church this morning, and she told an assistant pastor that she apologizes if the incident is in any way connected to the undeserved negative attention the church has received since she became a vice presidential candidate on Aug. 29. Whatever the motives of the arsonist, the governor has faith in the scriptural passage that what was intended for evil will in some way be used for good."

I hope you are right Gov. Palin. I truly hope that this attack on your Church will be enough for thinking Americans to wake up from there cultural comas to see that Christians need to Defend our Rights before they are taken from us.

Oh and what about the fact this Fire took place on Friday night. I just heard about it a few minutes ago. Still waiting for it to be picked up by the National Media as a big story. My guess is, they'll "break" the news after Drudge or another Big Blog picks it up. As a fellow blogger pointed out, Can you imagine if someone had set Obama's Home Church of Trinity on Fire? What would the coverage look like then? And do you think they'd be so confused about the Motive?

Because KTUU in Alaska points out repeatedly, No Motives or Suspects? No Idea if it's even connected to Politics. The anchor in the 'news' segment below refers to Wasilla Bible Church as Sarah Palin's 'former church', but other reports have said her children had planned to attend services this weekend, while the Governor worked on the State Budget in Juneau. Sounds like her church to me.... Count how many times the Anchor asks the reporter to confirm that there are No suspects or Motives...

Yeah, I'm not a cop or a firefighter, so I'll stand back and see what the investigation determines, but they've already so much as admitted that it was Arson. So someone Intentionally set Fire to Sarah Palin's Church. Forget the Sarah Palin Part. Someone set Fire to a Church filled with at least five women, and I want to know who did it. My gut says Liberal Nutjob Group, but it could be anyone. I'm just wondering how many Church Burnings were in Wasilla prior to Sarah Palin's selection to ride Shotgun on the GOP Ticket?

Who ever is found to be responsible, I want them punished for one of those "hate crimes" the ACLU is always harping about. Politically motivated or Not this was still an Attack on a Christian place of Worship. It's time to start paying attention...before it's too late.

Just like everything else Liberals "claim" the Liberal myth that Conservatives are rigid and humorless is patently False. So I've decided to share some of the videos that I've come across recently that literally made me laugh out loud including a new twist on the Christmas Classic, 12 Days of Christmas. The second on my list came via Gateway Pundit. The Bluebloggers or Liberal blogggers are kind of known for their crazy violent Screeds against Republicans and especially George W. Bush, but this week John Gibson highlighted that they are just as insane in Defense as they become when on the Attack! This video was put together around an audio segment of John Gibson's radio show, featuring Dramatic interpretations of Liberal Blog Entries in response the the "Obama-Blago" Scandal. Enjoy!

Is Global Warming the Cause of Terrorism?

Considering how spoiled and sanctimonious Liberals are is it really any wonder Terrorists from all over the world want us dead? It all comes down to Maslow's Hierarchy...

Think about it, those that are trying to Kill Us are still struggling to meet their basic needs, while Americas biggest "crisis" according the OLM is childhood obesity, global warming and Same-Sex marriage. They must have loved "A Day without Gays" (or as it's know in Iran, Everyday) Now they are going to hear either by word of mouth or that complimentary subsciption to the New York Times, that some American have decided to eliminate a Food Source in the name of ""Global Warming".

They think we are over indulged brats who don't deserve to live. They might be right about some of Us. Currently the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is floating the idea about a Federal Tax on Cow Farts. You read that correctly, Cow Farts. This tax would punish those who owned Cows, you know the people who provide us with Beef and Milk, for their Cow's natural bodily function of "passing gas" or as they call it "methane emissions" because they claim it causes... global warming.

In reality the Tax will do nothing to stop the Cows from exhibiiting their flatulent behaviour, so there is NO benefit to the environment, but it will put Small Farms out of business.

The EPA has floated the idea of taxing farmers for each of their cows.

Hanehan estimates it would cost about $175 per cow, per year. He milks 1,300 cows.

"It would probably be around $230,000 per year for our dairies," Hanehan said. "You can figure that that's pretty much going to wipe us out

Name someone Other than a Liberal that would think this is a good idea? No One, but the Guy in the cave doesn't know that most Americans think the idea of Taxing Cow bodily functions is insane, they think we're all that Stupid. And we're doing it in the name of the Greatest threat facing America...."Global Warming".

Al Gore's Money maker has got to be comedy gold in the Middle East where 110 feels a little chilly. Can you imagine how insulted they were to find out that some Americans are more concerned about "Global Warming" in the 2008 exit polls then were concerned about Terrorism?

It is somehow appropriate that the EPA would rear it's ugly head Today, the day after the House (including 32 Republicans) Voted for Socialism in the form of the GM/Chrysler Bailout. As much blame that is laid at the feet of the UAW, an equal amount should be dumped on the EPA. Environmental regulations on the Cars and of course how they are made, has played a role in the destruction of the Free Market in Detroit. The EPA forced Auto makers to go against the Golden Rule of "Supply and Demand". The EPA required Auto makers to create Cars for which there is limited if any Demand. Now they want to "clean up" the Farming Industry? No thank you. I like Food. Especially steak.

In spite of evidence that man made Global Warming is a Hoax and Junk Science they continue to worship follow the wisdom of the Gore-ical. It's also a Fact that the Earth has cooled in over the last Two years.

Swept up by The Christmas Spirit: The Nice List

It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! With President-elect Barack Obama's buddy, Illinois Governor, Rod Blagojevich, who in case you haven't heard also happens to be a Democrat, was arrested today on Federal Charges. Apparently he attempted to auction off The One's senate seat to the highest bidder. It looks like Blago will be joining Obama's Friend Tony Rezko behind bars this holiday season. Some have suggested the scope and depth of the Blago investigation could reach Rezko's real estate dealings.....Merry Christmas!! With Blago's pottymouth, he definitely belongs on the Naughty list I made yesterday, but there are plenty of people who found their way onto the Nice list....

Starting with my Current favorite member of Congress, United States Senator Richard Shelby, Republican from Alabama.

Senator Shelby had already made my Nice list earlier this year, when he and Senator Jim Bunning from Kentucky, called out the Financial Bailout by it's real name, Socialism. He has sealed the deal with his stance against the Big Three Bailout. For all those members of Congress that Voted for BailOut regardless of party, you can assume the position on the Other list.

The Next name on the good list is none other than El Rushbo, himself, Rush Limbaugh. The self proclaimed Father of Conservatism, has constantly given a voice to our movement while driving Liberals insane. Check out the "Harmless loveable little fuzzball"....

Rush is always Right, but he is particularly insightful on two issues in this piece. One is the way the Elite responded to Sarah Palin, assuming she was just a hick from Alaska. Notice how Babwa 'corrects' him, "She was uniformed!" This from a woman who has gotten all her information from a teleprompter for 30 years. The other issue that Ms. Walters wanted to use against Rush was the "aging woman" comment, which she portrayed as an attack on Hillary. Not so. I was listening to Rush the day that segment aired and it was an indictment on how Women are treated by the media and the public. You don't have to take my word for it, you can read the transcript and decide for yourself at RushLimbaugh.com. Joinging Maha Rushi on the Nice list this year for being the Voices of Conservatism, are Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and Mark Levine. Glen Beck just missed the cut this year, due to his prattling on about the Global Economic Collapse, and his perpetual promotion of "The Christmas Sweater". (Even if it is a really good book, which it is) I'm going to throw Ann Coulter into this section of the Nice list for delivering one of my favorite lines of the Election season, during the short time when John McCain surged in the Polls after announcing Palin for VP, Coulter was asked whether or not she liked Sarah Palin as the Pick, Coulter responded "I'm already planning the empeachment hearings!" For that she goes on my Nice list.

Which brings me to the next name on the Nice list this year, Governor Sarah Palin, Republican from the Great State of Alaska. Let's face it if you didn't know that Sarah was going to make My Nice list, you haven't been paying attention. Sarah is also known as The Reason Conservatives voted on November 4th. Without Governor Palin on the ticket, the base would have stayed home and McCain wouldn't even have had a chance against Obama. Sarah Palin is the Future of the Republican party, she is a strong, smart conservative with common sense, and it was obvious from the first time she was introduced to America that morning in Dayton, Ohio, Sarah Palin is the Real Thing. For bringing Positive Conservatism back to the forefront in the GOP, Sarah Palin has earned herself a spot on the Nice List. Governor Palin is accompanied on the Nice list this year, by two gentlemen from Lousiana, Republican Governor Bobby Jindal and newly elected Republican Representative for the House, Ang "Joseph" Cao . Jindal has been credited for his commitment to conservative fiscal and social ideals with great success in a state known for it's corruption. While Cao is new to the National scene his popularity in his district allowed him to defeat the incumbent, William "90 Grand in My Freezer" Jefferson in a delayed election just this week. Since the Voters of Lousiana gave victories to all of the above, they will also be added to the Nice List. In a suprise twist California voters made the Nice list for their vote to keep "Marriage" between a man and a woman, and of course, Georgia for saving us from a Rubber Stamp Congress. (Florida, you know what you did...)

We've had a some surprising entries to the Nice List this go round including the entire cast and crew of "An American Carol".

It takes a lot of guts to come out of the closet as a Republican in Hollywood. Hats off to those that got this movie made. By openly mocking the left with a Michael Moore-like character who has an Ebenzer Scrooge type of experience after he Protests for a Ban on the 4th of July, these guys lost their invitations to All the Cool Parties, instead they'll be invited to the Nice List.

Another less talked about movie, "Expelled" has earned it's entire cast and crew entry on the Nice List as well. In "Expelled", Ben Stein challenges the mother of all Liberal Holy Issues...Evolution. Or as the website discribes, "The freedom to legitimately challenge “Big Science’s” orthodoxy…without persecution." Good enough for me, Nice List all around!!

And this Nice List would not be complete if it didn't include the men and women who keep us all safe and free, the United States Military. Our Troops have bravely fought overseas to bring stability to Iraq, and are now creating bonds that will give us a strong Ally in the troubled region. But for each moment that a member of the Military is protecting you and I, they are away from someone they Love. Christmas time can be especially difficult for those with small children...but sometimes Little Girls get their Christmas Wish... (grab your kleenex, you've been warned...)

For the Troops that serve our Great Nation, there will always be a spot on the Nice List for you. This year you will be lead on the Nice List by your Commander in Cheif, President George W. Bush, the man who has kept us safe for seven years and has stayed the course towards Victory in Iraq. President Bush a man, Bob Geldof said "has done more than any other president so far.", in regards to Africa. Bush's unprescented committment to aid to Africa for Malaria, HIV/AIDS and business development had Geldof signing his praises in Rwanda earlier this year. Take a moment to read just that article and you will know why W. is on the Nice List.

Swept up by the Christmas Spirit, I've enjoyed creating the Nice List as a reminder of some of the good things happening out in the World. Sometimes we become so consumed by "The Naughty List", we forget to appreciate "The Nice List". It's that time of Year....Who has been Naughty?

Now that the Christmas lights are out of the attic, I'm starting to get into the Holiday spirit. I just found out I even have the official "Yule log" channel available 24 hours a day. With Christmas just weeks away, it's time for Santa to make his list and check it twice, while I have no idea who Mr. Claus puts on which list, I do have some suggestions for him...

Inspired by one of my favorite Christmas movies, Elf,

I've decided to divide the list into two Obvious Categories, Naughty and Nice. Since I'm a cynic by nature, we'll be starting with those that bear the shame of finding their name on the Naughty List.

The Senator from Countrywide, Christopher Dodd. The Man who brought us the "Greatest Economic Crisis of our Time" is now trying his hand at the Auto Industry. Dodd has not only been allowed to retain his position as head of the Senate Banking Committee, but Now he's on Television, giving his 'advice' on how it should be handled and how GM should move forward. The Audacity of Hypocrisy. Making the list under this category will be Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Harry Reid and the remainder of Congress that has run this country into the ground in just under 2 years. That fantastic effort has gotten you all a spot on the Naughty List.

Then there is This Guy:

He's the one who put the "Winter Solstice" sign up in Washington state. The one calling Religon a Myth. This guy is in need of some seriously counseling and has been deemed Naughty.

As if you didn't already know this one,Iranian President Ahmadinejad or A-jad,as I like to call him is not going to make the Nice list again this year.... While he was sure to make the list after his rousing speech at the United Nations where he called America the Great Satan. The Murderous psychopath sealed his fate this week, when he announced that the United States was most likely behind the gruesome Terror attacks in Mumbai.

Next up, for naughtiness is the Prop 8 Crazies. Those who are angry that Californians voted to keep Marriage between a Man and Woman, have lost their minds. From storming the churches in Michigan to boycotting and terrorizing Mormons in California and Nevada. The supporters of Prop 8 have crossed over into Zealot territory and are starting commit the "hate crimes" they claim to protest.

Now some of their well meaning supporters have put together a Video mocking Christianity and those that oppose Gay Marriage. I like to think of it as just another clip of people I'll never spend another dime to watch....

I could devote an entire entry to my issues with the Irony of this Video's usage of Separation of Church and state. Since that is precisely what the Gay Marriage issue Violates. But either way this entire group of Prop 8 thugs find themselves on the Naughty list.

The Voters in Minnesota have also found themselves on the Naughty list this year, while the re-count continues because almost Half of you voted for Stuart Smalley. Apparently he appears on the ballot with his other name Al Franken, maybe that's what confused you. Seriously, were you so swept up with Bush Derangement Syndrome that you actually voted for Al Franken or was it as he contends that you were just too stupid to know any better? Minnesota will be joined by Pennsylvania, Virginia and Ohio the Coal producing states that went Blue this year, but will cry when Obama's Green plan kills their economies.

And finally rounding out the List is the United Auto Workers Union. Not only have they managed to finally snuff out the last of the Big Three American Auto companies with their strong armed tactics, designed to grow the Union not help the Union worker. Now they are trying to make us feel guilty for not wanting to hand over our hard earned Money to them in the form of "Government BailOuts"...The Government has No Money, it's all Taxpayer Money. And this little screw up in Detroit is going to cost us all, but the UAW doesn't want you to think about how it's going to affect Your future....It's all about them.

Or as ALLAPUNDIT at Hot Air put it "New UAW ad: You people aren’t going to put us out of work, are you?"

You can add to this section of the Naughty list the NEA, that continues to support failure in the classroom,while demanding better pay, Wal-Mart haters and anyone who has ever utter the words "Corporate Greed". Silly, redundant term, they are businesses' not Non-profit organizations, They are supposed to be interested in Making money.

This is in no way a complete list of all those that belong on the Naughty List, but it does give a fair representation of what Santa is up against.

But as Buddy the Elf teaches us "there is room on the Nice list for everyone" and tomorrow I'll tell you who has earned a spot on that list this year....

New Poll McCain Voters and Fox News Viewers Most Informed

John Ziegler is at it again. The man who brought us the ten minute video "How Obama got elected" featuring 12 Obama Voters that were misinformed by the MSM, and subsequently was viewed by over 1.6 Million people on Youtube. Due to the overwhelming response and the Public Outcry from the Obama followers, Zeigler has run another poll, this time asking questions of both McCain and Obama supporters. The results confirmed what most of us already knew, McCain Voters were significantly more informed than Obama Voters. But the poll is not designed to make Obama voters look stupid, the purpose was to be an Indictment of the Media for their Negligence in informing the Public. The second study also offered some interesting results about Where the informed get their Information.

Those “exposed” to Fox News voted 70-29 for McCain.

Those “exposed” to CNN voted 63-37 for Obama.

Those “exposed” to MSNBC voted 73-26 for Obama.

Those “exposed” to network newscasts voted 62-37 for Obama.

Those “exposed” to national newspapers voted 64-36 for Obama.

Those “exposed” to talk radio voted 61-38 for McCain.

35 % of McCain voters got 10 or more of 13 questions correct.

18% of Obama voters got 10 or more of 13 questions correct.

McCain voters knew which party controls congress by a 63-27 margin.

Obama voters got the “congressional control” question wrong by 43-41.

Those that got "congressional control" correct voted 56-43 for McCain.

Those that got "congressional control" wrong voted 65-35 for Obama.

One of the other more interesting tidbits from this survey is that only 48% of CNN Viewers surveyed got the "congressional control" question correct. They had a 50-50 chance just by guessing. Yet, CNN is still considered a viable source of "news" by some Americans.

Maybe Ziegler's effort will change that.

What is wrong with Pennsylvania? First they re-elect Governor Ed Rendell, over Pittsburgh Steelers legend, HOF and Super Bowl MVP Lynn Swann. While there are other much more valid reasons to Vote for 'Swanni', that should have been a good enough reason for at least Half the State. Yes, Western Pennsylvania I'm talking to you.

The same people who re-elected John "Marines are cold blooded murders" Murtha, You traded your PORK, for your souls with his victory. I would love to hear from just ONE person why they cast a Vote for Murtha. Was it because he accused our troops of War Crimes? Or because he called you a Racist that finally convinced you that He was Your Candidate? Maybe it was the over $300,000 in ads dumped into the campaign two weeks prior to the election that was funded by his democratic buddies that pushed you over the edge....Whatever the case, PA's 12th District, you should be ashamed of yourselves. But you are not alone, it took a consorted effort by the entire state to elect the man who called you "Bitter...clinging to YOUR guns and Religion".

Obama mocked you to his liberal donors out in San Fransisco. He mentioned Pennsylvainians by Name. Yet the majority of you still Voted for him. Even when it was found out just days before the election that Obama planned to fine the Coal companies out of business, which would elimate a huge number of Jobs in Pennsylvania, still you Voted for him. That doesn't even make sense. And you can't just blame Philly, although it's tempting.

Tell me something Pennsylvania when will you learn? Murtha's back, Obama's President and we have you to Thank for it. Now your Governor, Fast Eddie Rendell is at it again. This time caught being his sexist self on video tape. Apparently Fast Eddie thinks only Childless women should hold powerful office. CNN's Cambell Brown in a rare moment of clarity in the segment, takes to task the Governor's idea that Janet Napalatanio's "perfect" because she has "No Life"

As you watch him speak his mind, remember this man is a Prominent Democrat. The Party of what exactly again? Enjoy!

For once I agree with Cambell Brown, write that down. But when has a Man's children ever entered the conversation about qualifications? Never. But Fast Eddie's kind of known for his prejudices... In February of this year, when he was supporting a Woman with a Grown Child and absent husband, I'm assuming that qualifies Hillary in his mind. Rendell insinuated PA was too Racist to Vote for Obama in the General so they should vote for Hillary in the Primary. Well at least we found something he and Murtha have in common, they both think their constiutients are Racist. He gave this "Racist reasoning" for his Victory over Lynn Swann....

That is your Governor, Pennsylvania. Nice work. Well, since Fast Eddie has reached his two term limit as Governor, now he's considering a run at the Senate. I bet Rendell was jealous of Michael Bloomberg route of just extending the term limits to the office, probably wishes he had thought of it first. Lord knows the people of PA would surely elect him again...

Updated: Looks like those in the Keystone state will have another excellent choice in 2010. MSNBC "Host" and Moonbat king, Chris Matthews. Turns out that tingle that Obama caused to run up his leg ignited a desire to Run for Senate. In where else, Pennsylvania. I'm telling you if PA elects this guy.....

We're Bringing Saxby Back!!

With the AP now reporting a Saxby Chambliss victory in the US Senate Run off race in GA, we can all breathe a sigh of relief. We've held off a 60 Seat Democrat Super Majority, meaning we can still throw a few road bumps in the way of Socialism with a big "S" when we need to. It's not great, but it's a start.

One other bright spot in this Chambliss Victory, is that we got to see Sarah Palin again, as she did a four stop tour of the State yesterday. Polls had Chambliss up by 7 points late last week, tonights early numbers have his margin of Victory at around 18%, Think it might have had something to do with this?

You know Sarah's a Rock star when even the AP calls her Chambliss' "closer". What would you expect from the Woman that Joe Biden said he wanted to hang out with so the Press would notice him. Her positive Conservative message is still resonating with Americans....so not all is lost. Although some are wondering what it means for Obama....and wondering if the outcome would have been different if The One had come on down to Georgia, himself.

We have to start preparing now for 2010. Check out your local senate races, see where we can make some progress, find a good candidate to support and Do it. In the meanwhile as I've said countless times, Stay in touch with your representatives in Congress, remind them as often as necessary who writes their paycheck. Those remaining members of Congress with "R"'s beside their name will really need our support now. Remember that the phone calls and e-mails from consitiuients is what stopped the first Bailout Package. Never underestimate the desire for Politicians to get re-elected.

Having said that, tonight I will sleep just a little easier knowing that the Congress can't just rubber stamp every liberal policy Obama throws out. We still have a small form of checks and balance. Thank you Georgia! America should be thanking you as well! Thanks to Sarah Palin and the Voters in the great state of Georgia, We're Bringing Saxby Back!

Why You Should Know Who Samantha Powers is....

All the headlines are screaming "Hillary Clinton Secretary of State", like that is the real story of the day. In truth that was last week's story and they leaked it in my opinion to see how everybody would react. The real story isn't the assumed nomination of Mrs. Clinton, but instead the 'woman' who will be guiding the New Secretary of State, Samantha Powers.

If you just thought who is Samantha Powers, you are not alone. Until recently I didn't know who she was either. It's partially because her name surfaced briefly in the primaries just after Super Tuesday, a time when most Conservatives had stopped paying attention. 'Ms.' Powers was named an early foreign policy advisor to Barack Obama's campaign, something that got the Jews attention but was largely ignored by the OLM. That was until Powers gave an interview with The Scotsman where she called Hil a "Monster" and get this..."unattractive". At that point she immediately assumed the position under the Bus and resigned, as the Obama express rolled over her on the way to the White House. She was out of the public spotlight long before the General Election.

With Obama naming Samantha Powers to his Transition Team, America should be taking a closer look at the person who will act as a Liaison between Secretary of State Clinton, and President Obama. ( editor's note: I'm going to have to practice saying both of those, because writing it just now made me a little ill.) Anyway, Who is Samantha Powers and why is Obama so fond of her?

Prior to going to work for Obama in 2005, Powers was a Professor at Harvard who was best known for her Pulitzer Prize winning book, "A Problem from Hell", which according to complete-review.com was less "finger pointing".....

Earlier working titles apparently included The Guilty Bystander and Again and Again: Fifty Years of Genocide and American Bystanderhood, but it was presumably determined that these hit too close to home and so the benign, non-finger pointing title won out

According to the review, "It's an America Bashing Book" but that doesn't appear to deter the reviewer's enjoyment of the book.

For some it heightened the Importance of the book...

It's not surprising that Liberals would enjoy a book criticizing America. What was shocking was when I found out that "Problem from Hell" seemed a little too Anti-American for one L.A.Times Reviewer...

"Power seeks to show that American policymakers have knowingly turned a blind eye to massacres. In her view, the United States' policy of nonintervention in the face of genocide has not been a failure but precisely what diplomats wanted." - Jacob Heilbrun, The Los Angeles Times

I haven't actually read the entire book myself, but if the LA Times can see through Powers attempt to veil her Hatred for America in this book supposedly about "genocide" it must be spelled out in Capital Letters. (Twice)

Guess how Powers met Obama? Wait for it...according to an interview with Salon.com, Obama contacted Powers after reading her book!! What was the other book Obama was reading on the campaign trail....(The Post American World)

"He had just read "A Problem From Hell" and wanted to meet to discuss fixing American foreign policy. I thought, "Well that's interesting -- clearly he's in some other league."

"In some other league", Well that's one way to look at it. If Obama's reading list is any indication, America's going to "Change" alright......By the end of their first meeting, Powers had agreed to quit her job at Harvard to go to work for Senator Obama.

But Wait! There's More! The reason the Jews paid attention when Obama named her as an advisor in the Primaries, is because she has openly criticized Americas relationship with Israel, suggesting we should take a more "even handed approach" to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, like not supporting Israel and backing the Palestinians as she does in this video from April of 2002

This should give us some insight into the foreign-policy objectives of Barack Obama, who had Power as an adviser from 2005 until the “monster” comment in March of this year. He didn’t bounce her from his team over her views on Israel and … well, let’s recall how she described the pro-Israel lobby:

Putting something on the line might mean alienating a domestic constituency of tremendous political and financial import.

For those who may not catch the reference, Power means the Joooooos. And why would that alienate the Jewishcabalthatsecretlyrunseverything? For one thing, Power wants to spend billions on bolstering Palestinian military strength, instead of spending it on helping the Israelis to defend themselves. Bear in mind that this interview takes place about seven months after 9/11, when people supposedly still knew how dangerous radical Islamist groups like Hamas and al-Qaeda were. Power wanted to send them money and stop funding Israeli efforts to fight them.

Just when you thought it couldn't get worse Powers is an advocate for Negotiations with Iran without Pre-conditions. In January, she wrote an opinion piece for Time entitled "Rethinking Iran" where she dismisses the incident between a US Naval Ship and five Iranian speed boats as a scare tactic, not by the Iranians of course...by who else...George W. Bush.

The war scare that wasn't stands as a metaphor for the incoherence of our policy toward Iran: the Bush Administration attempts to gin up international outrage by making a claim of imminent danger, only to be met with international eye rolling when the claim is disproved. Sound familiar? The speedboat episode bore an uncanny resemblance to the Administration's allegations about the advanced state of Iran's weapons program--allegations refuted in December by the National Intelligence Estimate.

And now The One has selected Samantha Powers to Advise the State Department....Does this sound like a good idea to any thinking person?

Is that a Murderer on your T-shirt? The Truth about Che Guevara

Stalin was Right. America is full of "Useful Idiots". The latest example of Liberals love affair with Communist Ideal...Where else? Central Park. It is being widely reported on the Web, and of course completely ignored by the OLM, that a statue has been erected in Central Park honoring cold blooded murderer Ernesto "Che" Guevara.

In his column, Visiting Che Guevara in Central Park, Jack Kemp wrote, "I read in AT that a statue of bloodthirsty revolutionary Che Guevara has appeared in Central Park, so I went to 5th Ave. & 60th street to see it for myself." I feel you, Jack, it truly is something you would have to see with your own eyes. In fact I waited to publish this blog until I was able to get confirmation from the reports over the weekend. I just couldn't believe that Anyone would want a statue honoring, Cuba's Communist Dictator, Fidel Castro's personal killing machine. I don't know why I'm surprised. My husband says I give people too much credit, that I'm always hoping they are 'better' than they turn out to be. Maybe he's right.

It's not like this is the first time the Liberals on the left have glorified this psychopath, they've been walking around with his Face on their dirty t-shirts for years, much to the dismay of Cuban Americans everywhere. In 2005, the Seattle Times did a story about the growing outrage from Cuban Americans over the continued marketing of Che t-shirts and trinkets. Who doesn't want a mass murder's picture on their Cup filled with overpriced Coffee? It's Seattle.

A Less Truthful version of the following image is what is considered "Trendy" amongst College Students and other mush minded individuals...

One recent afternoon, 73-year-old Carlos Barberia was waiting for a bus in Union City, N.J., when he spotted a Guevara T-shirt on a sidewalk rack. He bought the shirt — and promptly set it on fire with a burning newspaper.

"Che Guevara killed my father," he told a police officer, explaining his outburst. "He had my father shot by a firing squad in Cuba."

The officer turned out to be Cuban American, too. "He told me, 'I have not seen anything' and he walked away," Barberia said.

From another Cuban American who writes at Sunrise in Havana,

Every time I see a teenager with Che Guevara's picture plastered on a T-shirt I feel sad. I wonder if they even know who this man really was.

During the first years of the Castro regime, Che was the head executioner. He is also responsible for founding the work camps, where the opposition were sent, including my father, who did nothing against the communist regime.

I have to tell you the Che T-shirt phenomenon is something that really gets under my skin, in fact one of the first groups I joined on Facebook was the "Che Guevara is a Murderer and Your T-shirt is Not Cool". Maybe not the catchiest of titles but effective and too the point. Thankfully I am not alone in my desire to openly mock Che t-shirt wearers. Which gives me some solace, but as Jay Nordlinger at National Review online points out, "The world is awash in Che paraphernalia, and this is an ongoing offense to truth, reason, and justice (a fine trio). "

Yet with all the evidence of his Barbaric behavior, Time Magazine still named Ernesto 'Che' Guevarra to their 100 Heroes and Icons list in June of 1999. Again we shouldn't be surprised, Time also featured him on the cover in 1960. They are just one of many OLM news outlets that have been accused of supporting Castro's dictatorship by Cuban exiles over the years.

In 2004 the film "The Motorcycle Diaries" was released to a flurry of praise by all those on the left. Supposedly a story of pre-Revolution Che. The Romantic beginnings that all the Liberals love....the story doesn't go in his later "Violent years" But does clarify one thing, Che was never poor. He was as most Liberals are Upper Middle Class. In one of the Most accurate Movie Reviews ever a reader known only as Zane wrote "It is as if someone were to make a film about Adolf Hitler by portraying him as a vegetarian who loved animals and was against unemployment. This would be true, but would be rather beside the point.Guevara was a violent, oppressive man. 'The Motorcycle Diaries' is the epitome of my generations pretentiousness." Couldn't have said it better myself.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Che Guevara, he was supposedly a doctor in Mexico when he met up with Castro Brothers. He became the third leg of the "Cuban Revolution". Guevara fought side by side with the Castros then took their Revolution to the people. It is estimated that Guevara is personally responsible for anywhere from 2000 to 150,000 Cuban Deaths. Notice the low number is 2000. This man was a viscous henchmen for Castro, his job was to put down any dissenters to "the cause", it was a position he relished. Guevara famously executed political prisoners without fair trial. You want to know the Truth about Che Guevara, take a few minutes and watch the following video. While it in no way covers all of the treachery of this man, it will give you a good idea of what he was Really like.

There are several books available if you are so inclined on the Real History of this assassin, one of which is Exposing Che Guevara. It was while looking at this book written by Humberto Fontova Amazon.com that I came across a review, and the reviewers thoughts seemed to capture my thoughts and convey them in a way, that I think even Liberals could understand....

Even though it's about
Che and Cuba, it means a lot to me as well--a
Chinese-American. Any book against one dictator is a
book against ALL dictators. I imagine you must feel
the same rage seeing a Che T-shirt as I do seeing a
Mao T-shirt. It bothers me that many people do not
think twice about wearing either T-shirt, but if
somebody wore a T-shirt with the visage of Hitler,
Stalin, bin Laden, or that Virginia Tech guy it'd be
all over the news.

Since "History" is now confined to our lifetime in this country, I thought it was a brilliant analogy to use the VA Tech shooter as an example. Something so tragic perpetrated by one individual that caused so much pain for so many. That is what the image of Che Guevara means to Cuban Americans and exiles, yet someone thought it was a good idea to put up a statue in Central Park.

Two years ago this war was lost.
The American public was tired of the daily bombings and the reports of death. Thanks to the efforts of the media and continual pounding from Democratic Party members America was ready to give up on this front and quit. America was told was the worst foreign policy decision in its history. Some believed this was the worst slaughter of American lives in history. Some even scoffed at the genocide that would occur if we left. America no longer understand why victory was essential or why war was called war. The images of Saddam Hussein being pulled out of a spider hole were a distant memory.
America had lost its will to fight.

But, President George W. Bush would not accept defeat.

Despite the best efforts of Democrats and their partners in the media, President Bush understood what was best for this country and what was best for Iraq and the Middle East.
A new fighting plan with a surge of troops was organized.
A new general named Petraeus was put in charge.

Time for the GOP to make a Hard Right

After giving up the White House and numerous seats in Congress, the GOP is doing exactly what it should be doing. Reorganizing and coming up with a plan. All over the country, Republican groups are getting together to discuss the future of the Party. Those that call themselves "moderates" are calling for Republicans to move away from those pesky "evangelical" and "religious" members that can't seem to let go of that killing unborn babies thing or that annoying aversion to Gay Marriage. These same "Moderates" thing the GOP should also loosen up on Al Gore's money maker, "Global Warming". Some would call these people a RINO (Republican In Name Only). I have another name for those people..... Democrats.

Take Kathleen Parker, Please! And anyone else who agrees with her....While her name is not familiar yet, get used to her, she was just named Republican of the Year by the OLM. In a Column entitled "Giving Up on God" that appeared in the Washington Post, Parker wrote:

As Republicans sort out the reasons for their defeat, they likely will overlook or dismiss the gorilla in the pulpit.

To be more specific, the evangelical, right-wing, oogedy-boogedy branch of the GOP is what ails the erstwhile conservative party and will continue to afflict and marginalize its constituents if reckoning doesn't soon cometh.

Simply put: Armband religion is killing the Republican Party. And, the truth -- as long as we're setting ourselves free -- is that if one were to eavesdrop on private conversations among the party intelligentsia, one would hear precisely that.

The choir has become absurdly off-key, and many Republicans know it.

But they need those votes!

So it has been for the Grand Old Party since the 1980s or so, as it has become increasingly beholden to an element that used to be relegated to wooden crates on street corners.

Which is to say, the GOP has surrendered its high ground to its lowest brows. In the process, the party has alienated its non-base constituents, including other people of faith (those who prefer a more private approach to worship), as well as secularists and conservative-leaning Democrats who otherwise might be tempted to cross the aisle.

There seems to be an increase in the use of labels in Politics. Where there used to be Republicans and Democrats, there are now Libertarians, Constitutionalists, Conservatives, Moderate Republicans, Neo-Conservatives, Moderate Democrats, Liberals and Socialists. Let's not forget the Independent-Right leaning or the Independent-Left Leaning. People have not changed, just the labels have. Take me, for instance, I didn't find out that I was a Conservative until college. I knew I was a Republican, I didn't know you needed to add the Conservative part. To me Conservative-Republican sounded redundant. Oh How I miss Reagan.

While I was ready another blog the other day, I came across a link to Yourmorals.org, a fascinating site where you can "Test your Morals" and find out just how you compare to other Republicans and Democrats on some major issues. Turns out I'm even more Conservative than I thought, I'm pretty sure I'm now officially a Right-Wing Nut Job on the scale. To be honest I kind of sensed that about myself anyway. I've always recognized Ann Coulter's Genius.

I must admit I've also got a Political Crush on Jonah Goldberg as of late as well. His book "Liberal Fascism" is a must read for anyone who wants confirmation of your fears about the "New Thought Police" first identified by Tammy Bruce. Goldberg made the good list this week again, with his very public response to Kathleen Parker, by saying, "Quit it. Kathleen"in his column at the National Review

I don't know what's more grating, the quasi-bigotry that has you calling religious Christians low brows, gorillas and oogedy-boogedy types or the bravery-on-the-cheap as you salute -- in that winsome way -- your own courage for saying what (according to you) needs to be said. Please stop bragging about how courageous you are for weathering a storm of nasty email you invite on yourself by dancing to a liberal tune. You aren't special for getting nasty email, from the right or the left. You aren't a martyr smoking your last cigarette. You're just another columnist, talented and charming to be sure, but just another columnist. You are not Joan of the Op-Ed Page. Perhaps the typical Washington Post reader (or editor) doesn't understand that. But you should, and most conservatives familiar with these issues can see through what you're doing.

Take That, Ms. Parker.

Online columns are not the only place these internal 'bitch slaps' are being exchanged. As Alexander Burns is reporting over at Politco, the Republican 'thinkers' at the National Review Insitute traded barbs including "Liberal" and "Cancer". You can guess which faction each represents.

Over at the RNC, the battle for the Chairmanship has begun between Michael Steele and Katon Dawson who have 'officially' announced their candidacy. Other names are still being thrown around including Duncan Hunter a darling among many conservatives. Let me tell you what I like about Michael Steele, a legitimate conservative voice, he's witty, photogenic, comfortable giving National interviews and already has his own Website promoting his effort. Since the Chairman's job is basically to market the GOP to the public, it's important that person know how to get a message out in the "new media" as well as the OLM. On the issues and the strategy, Steele seems to get it.

Steele wrote "Listen.Adapt.Be Positive" in the Wall Street Journal....

Republicans once said that the opportunities this nation has to offer rest not in government but rather in the hands of individuals. Over the past decade or so, however, we Republicans lost our way. The disparity between our rhetoric and our action grew until our credibility snapped. It wasn't the fault of our ideals. It was the failure of our leadership.

Over time, our principles morphed into baser motives. Continued political dominance grew more important to those who led us than the noble vision most of us originally signed on for. And to maintain power we turned to the controls of government -- we became the party of big government. We behaved like Democrats

Steele goes on to say that we need to talk more about what we stand for and less about what we oppose. I tend to agree with him. Having said that, those that no longer Stand for the Platform and Principles of the Republican Party can go. We don't need to become more liberal in order to win elections. We've always won when we stood by our Conservative ideals rather than abandoned them. Obama didn't win by running as the most Liberal Senator in Congress in the national election as he did in the Primaries. In the National election he made promises of "Tax Cuts for 95%" of Americans, even though he has Never previously supported a Tax Cut in his very short career, Americans liked the way it sounded. Hint: It sounded Conservative.

It's not just the RINO's that are crying for more "moderation", the Liberals also think the Repbulican's should move left.Mort Kondrake is just the latest member of the OLM to give advice to Republicans. He suggests that the Republicans need to stop letting Conservative Talk Show hosts set our Agenda, as though they have been up unto this point. Clearly Mort doesn't tune in to Rush or Sean very often. Forgetting the ridiculousness of the premise...Why would any Republican want advice from a Liberal? Are we supposed to believe that Kondrake really has our party's best interest at heart. Never, Never Trust a Liberal. In fact I think we should do the opposite of what Kondrake is suggesting, it's time for the GOP to make a Hard Right.

It's time we separated the Wheat from the Chafe. For those "moderates" that want us to move to the center...take a look at the results from Nov 4th, How did that work out for you? John McCain was the perfect "moderate republican" candidate, always willing to "Reach across the Aisle" to work with the Democrats. I think it was Margaret Thatcher who said "if you stand in the middle of the Road, you get hit by a Car." We've been hit twice now, it's time to get out of the Middle of the Road and back on the side of Conservatism.
